When Dreamkeepers was being developed as a tv pitch, it went through several logo and font designs.  As seen above, it was described as: Dragonball z meets the Nightmare Before Christmas meets Harry Potter.  Please observe that Namah had her original mythological spelling with two 'aa's.  pre 2005

Mmm it looks Saturday morning cartoon time, what was the tone of the show gonna be ? The same as now or more child friendly ?

Synariel

A Tv pitch? I wonder how it would have turned out.

Just finished the movie. Real nice. If the background sounds they had are not in the original, you should add them, back edit them in. Maybe? They were needed in the movie. I now understand what is happening. One page at a time had left me wondering. I have 4. I dont understand not remembering all this. Bad memory I guess.

Dreamkeepers

It was going to be extremely kid-friendly, possibly be about treasure hunting for crystals, and have a 'reset premise', where each episode can be stand alone without contributing to an extended story. Not so great, in our minds.

DNMZ

Wow really ? If that was how it was going to be then I'm kinda glad it didn't become a tv show. It could work as a kids/teen show if it is done like Gravity Fall's but if it was done more like Teen Titans Go then it would have been a big waste and disappointment in my mind, hopefully one day it will not only get fully animated but will still be the dark and fun DK we love

Synariel

I see. I'd be curious to see DK as it is fully animated and running on TV. Those first V1 pages won't be for Disney channel that's for sure. Cartoon or animation for adults seems to be a large untapped market. Most of us have grown with cartoons and i don't think the transition to more serious matter will be a nuisance on the contrary.

They look pretty spiffy, would Namah's name pronunciation have been different with that sort of spelling?

Garrett Simpson

For the longest time I thought it was pronounced "Name-uh" and even got a sketch commission from Kiyo joking about it
