Nainso Q&A (Patreon)

Catching up on e-mails- and last month, one e-mail inspired us to start the Patron Q&A.   I figure, since the sender prompted us to start the feature, I should of course provide the courtesy of an answer to his question.   So here it is, and I hope it's fun for everyone.  E )  

Question: Nainso seems to be a thriving businessman in the black market industry. Did he inherit the night club, access to fermentae, and connections with the Viscount from a family member? Perhaps his father or grandfather? 

Nainso's career started out perfectly legal.   Not necessarily perfectly ethical- he was in politics, and effective.   

His father was a councilman in the Ruskol district, and Nainso grew up watching his father's calculated legislative efforts continually crushed and subverted by ill-timed mandates emanating from the Sabbaton Towers.  After witnessing the frustration and futility firsthand, Nainso resolved to forge a career in the CCA.   From there, he could assess the powers that seemed to so easily abrogate local rule- and begin tinkering with their inner workings.  

After he attained his position, he began to carefully observe- and exploring the layers of corruption led him to secrets that, eventually, prompted him to nurture an unconventional ally...  Scinter.

Question: Is your pet ryuu-neko, Diligence, named after any Andurunian criminals who also delved into the black market underground? 

Diligence is named for one of the virtues Nainso holds in high esteem.  It had a better ring to it than "Circumspection."
