Been busy setting up the new dojo!

Started with the workbench. After much research trying to find something to buy, I decided to make my own. Got a used rack, 4 meters long, 4 meters high. The first row I turned into a worktable and everything above will be used for storage. The 2nd shelf is high enough so it clears my head when moving about.

Got thick wood for the workbench (27 mm) and I'm waiting to get 2 mm aluminum plates to go on top as wood would look terrible after a while. Added wood plates and put tools in such a way that everything is within hand reach, I love that.
Bolted two LED light bars so the whole workbench has good lighting.

It's turning out better than I was expecting. You can't buy something like this and now I have a lovely sturdy worktable and plenty of storage. Good use of space.

For the shop lighting, I got lamps from Amazon, 150W, 5000k, 21000 lumens. Now that's proper light. Planing to put 5 of these for now which should light up the space beautifully.

I filmed all of this so there will be a video. The next video will be on project Cologne though, got the M sport bumpers back from the paint shop in the right color and I'm in the process of installing them.

Just wanted to share a quick update. Cheers and thank you for the amazing feedback on the previous video as always!

Yes, it's already getting stupid expensive but it will be: do it once, do it right type of thing. :)

Use one shelf for a bed, you will definitely gonna need it 😀

brilliant to see how you are building up the new workshop. I need some work space like this to work on my cars.

Thanks alot for filming the build process, I love seeing shop builds as they motivate me to organize my own.

I just want to know if Hans & the evil twin(not Hans is the evil twin) will be attending the workshop warming party? Remember, they played a part (big? Hmmmm) in you getting to this point. Thanks for the great content and for allowing us to be a part of your life story. What's great about it is it is to the point without any faffing about.

YES! New workshop. Will be a joy to see you organize even more space with spare parts for old neglected BMW's. Also: Proper color on M sport bumpers? Can't wait for that.

Very clean and well lit build. I’d just love to sleep on that workbench😅

Looks amazing and very organized. Is it ok if I steal the idea with the workbench on the shelf for my workshop? ;) Where did you find those shefls? Have been looking myself but nothing that fits for me so far.

Absolutely, go for it, it's a great idea :) The rack I got used, you can also buy them new but they are very expensive, and then you make your own shelves.
