A little bit of everything in this one. From getting lost in a small village to leather repair and Xenon retrofit. It's a long one too, I was thinking to split it into 2 parts, but I find that the video flows so nicely and decided to leave it like this. Let me know your thoughts! Cheers!

Rejuvenating a Neglected Straight-Six BMW E46 325i Touring - Project Cologne: Part 4

Video for all car lovers and DIYers. A little bit of everything in this one: cows, getting lost in a medieval town, detailing a disgusting interior, leather repair, Xenon projectors retrofit, headlight washers retrofit, driving on the Autobahn... The touring is finally back on the road and looking pretty. This E46 has come a long way, but there is more to come. Great content as always! Just curious, have you ever or plan to work on older BMW's from the 70's & 80's? I always liked the E24. Are they not valuable yet? Parts hard to find?

Awesome stuff! One tip though from me at least, is to provide these videos to patreon only members for at least 24 hrs (could even be more like 3 days) before making video public on youtube. It's a great incentive for members to stay, and hopefully attracting even new members. Otherwise like what's the point of being on patreon when the video is on youtube the same day. It's how some other channels do it and it feels like I'm getting something in return, on top of of course supporting the content and channel. My 2 cents on this.

Thanks again for a joyful video. I'm so impressed by your craftsmanship :)

I live in Lebanon, which is undergoing a complete economic collapse. Banks have imposed capital control measures on their clients which took our infinite international card limit down to less than $10. Your content is so good it deserves my international card limit (Don't worry I have other accounts). Keep up the great work mate.

Well done, the video and the car 👍🏻

Loved this video, thanks for making these 👍

Brilliant video as usual, those seats look fantastic, reminded me of the (much smaller) repair I did years ago on my E46 328Ci which had the same grey colour 👍

This episode was amazing. Detailing orgy!! Loved the small Ed China hints like “let’s get cracking” and the tiger grip orange gloves box. Are you going replace the daylight running lights with ones that have a similar color to the xenon ones? Also, regarding the repairing of the leather seats, is the texture of the repaired leather equal to the OEM one? And yes, I did notice that when you do the final reveal, the car doesn’t have the headlight washers mounted. Good try thou! I’m sure you fooled most of your audience 🤣

Thanks! Been looking at E24 635csi but difficult to find one that's without rust and a decent price, but I'm sure something will pop up sooner or later. That said, I don't have any experience with older bimmers so it would be a nice change.

Thanks, I'll see to do that from the next video. I'm just used to shooting out a video as soon as it's done.

Thanks! For the most part, it retains the same texture unless I use a lot of liquid leather to feel in the cracks. I film that bit before I installed the washers, just yesterday I picked up the trim bellow the headlights and I'm still tweaking the projectors.

Congrats on great results!

Hey man, the xenon aftermarket kit is still not TÜV compliant since it's not a tested/ certified kit even though you got the washing system and the auto leveling. Don't think anyone will notice but I just wanted to let you know... I already did the same with my old e46 330xd and I know what a pain this whole procedure is. Thumbs up for the video

m539restorations

Thanks! It's compliant, there is no difference between the housing or the glass between the original Xenon and normal headlights. TUV doesn't take things apart and don't care what's inside as long as the cover has proper markings and projectors are aligned. Been running EvoX-R projectors and DJ Auto covers on my E39 for years and never had issues with TUV, with bi-xenon function plugged in.
