Hi, everyone. First of all, I'm sorry but I'd like to let you all know that the next build will be delayed. I will explain why I have come to this decision in this post.

The Problems

Currently, there are many flaws in the architecture such as sprite system, item/equipment/skill database, dungeon creation system, etc. This is expected, as these were created when we wanted to quickly release a playable build to see if we have a solid game going on. While these flaws are easy to ignore at first, they make it harder to extend and maintain. And I believe that Kemo Coliseum has already passed the testing ideas point.

Rushing and releasing the game now means there's a very high chance that players will encounter bugs that we already know. We don't want to waste your time reporting those bugs or things that we will come back and change anyway. You have already done that with many builds before this. I think it's time we give you a more complete experience.

Refactoring Time

From the problems I've written, I think it's time we keep the entropy at bay.I want to refactor the codes, improve our workflow and make the 1st chapter as complete as it can be. This doesn't mean polishing effects or UI, but building a solid ground that makes working on future chapters easier and faster.

What will happen?

From this point on, most of the programming work will be on changing the design of the code. No new features will be added. While there will be no new contents from the programming side, this is crucial and important for us to move on with the development. Also, the art and story parts of the development will continue as usual. With this new plan, we should be able to release the complete 1st chapter of Volga's arc this year.

I hope you understand our decision.

So it may take a few more months before we get a playable demo of Volga's first chapter..?

Thanks for the update. You guys do what you have to.

kemocoliseum

Yes, we added more scenes in between the main quests too. So you'll get to meet more main characters in this new version. - Punipen

Solitary Hyena

I'm bummed to hear the delay, but i'm also very glad to see you take the first step to taking the route in a polished game. Lots of game developers, the professional ones at that, seem to ignore that and rely on later updates to fix the bugs. It's like the players are paying to be beta testers! In any case, I hope fixing up the code will result in smoother releases and maybe even more frequent updates in the future. Keep doing what you're doing!

Hours Left

If this is what's needed to make the game the best it can be, then you have my full support! :)
