IMPORTANT NOTE

  • The latest builds are the ones without a date numbers at the end of the file name.
  • The Windows build comes with a save file where you can start from the first dungeon right away.
  • This build ends after you clear "The Round Forest" quest (No quest reward yet).

I really want to release the build this month to get your feedbacks for the new game balance so the translation of the new scenes were done in a hurry. I'm really sorry about that and I will fix them in the future versions. (Some of the English scripts are already proofread & improved but I haven't put them in this version yet)

With my latest save, which is after the battle against the whip guy, I can't make progress, it's acting like I'm playing with an earlier build. Either the old saves aren't compatible, or saving after the boss does it. In any case, I don't have any new quests, so I guess I'll have to restart from scratch. Oh, and now for the effects of the skills, you have to click on the tile, move the cursor away, and then go back to it to get the description. Just clicking on the tile makes the description flash for me.

Yeah, I'm really sorry about that. I should have mentioned it. If you have a save file before you fight the boss, it might still work. The boss scene now activates an event when you go back to the pub. Currently, it's going to be difficult to make old save files compatible with the new build. At least until we finish the first chapter. I'll keep this in mind the future so you don't have to keep replaying from the beginning. Alternatively, if anyone wants a save file right before fighting the cave boss, I'll be happy to upload it. - Punipen

So far so good, a few missed translations (skills, items, convo with bartender and char names) but thats about all really, I love murrvin, his new coloured portrait is gorgeous! Keep up the amazing work!

For EN option: 1) One of Volga's lines during the intro is still in Japanese (レフがトーナメントの話を切り出した時…) Next line is Receptionist: "Would you still like to participate?" 2) Hotel owner Rio quest, yes and no in Japanese. 3) Rio quest second scene/block monster listed as 魔物 3) another full Japanese line in the bar after introducing the other three contestants (どうやらー) 4)drawing model sidequest guy is listed as "男" 5) slime sidequest lady is "女の人" - same for gift for girlfriend. 6) Moaning cave quest Aquillo's box shows his name in katakana

Got the same problem in the Round Forest ; the treasure box at the top-center of the dungeon (1st area) doesn't open

I like the new game mechanics and the balancing seems to be okay. The game is a little bit harder now but it doesn't feel unfair. Unfortunately I wasn't able to beat the last boss because the game always freeze when the tree makes a special move. I also noticed some error massages during the battles in the forest dungeon. (the other problems like the chest were already mentioned) However I had a lot of fun with the Whip guy, and didn't expect that the tree is an old lecher :)

The game definitely feels harder now and I like it! Going through the dungeons used to be a breeze, now some of the fights are actually tough! Or maybe the enemy just got lucky, heh. I had about 5-7 losses in this playthrough, most of them being in the cave. Sometimes the enemy just gets so lucky that they break both of my armors in one turn, but sometimes I was the lucky guy instead. Also, I noticed one bug with the whip guy and his panic gems. While there were panic gems on the board, I used Volga's bash ability to finish the boss off, but them random gems that were destroyed after using the ability were replaced with gems that activated the panic ones. Guess what happened? The attacks were reflected back to me (after the boss was already at 0 hp) and we ended up defeating each other! I got the "Lose!" text, BUT I was rewarded with XP and gold like I won the battle! However, I still got the "game over" screen with option to try again or return to map. I also kept the XP and gold, even though I "lost". Then there's some minor stuff other ppl already mentioned, like some lines still being in Japanese. Another thing I noticed that when I went to the bar to browse through quests, the quest info box (the box on the right) was a little buggy. Whenever I moved the mouse to a quest, the box would blink for a split second with large font letters, then go back to normal. Anyway, this was great! Glad we finally got a new build. :)

There seems to be a bug with the extra moves where when you are on your last (flashing) move and you match a 4, it still says "extra move" but you do not get one. Also, in the forest area, I started getting error codes and one of them had to do with the gems and every time I'd go to use the "Ice Bolt" spell, it would do the animation but it would not do anything, it wouldn't do damage or anything and I'd have to quit the battle because I couldn't do anything. Overall, it was a great build! It feels harder then before but that's a good thing :) I haven't played through it all yet but it's great so far. Keep up the great work guys!

Sometimes the program will crash in sudden so I had to restart it.I don't know why.

Something funny.The enemy will make a L-shaped match rather than make four-in-line match to get an extra round. However it is a great project.Keep up going. :)

Perfect work of you and the painter , maybe no CG is alittle bit unfortunately , but I still enjoy this bulid And the evil tree before battle line is let me imagination . awesome !

I think there's a bug with skills, I don't see the Ice one you get from leveling up to L2 anywhere. And when you remove Bash it disappears forever.

Thank you! The current AI prioritises maximising the number of gems it can erase over maximising the number of actions. This might be changed in the future. - Punipen

It seems that the extra move text confuses people when it appears more than once. I'll make sure that it only happen the first time you get an extra move in the future. Glad you like the game's current difficulty! :) - Punipen

Thank you! I've noticed that often people will just sacrifice the first two health bars and fight with the final one. With the new balance, the first two health bars are very important and you don't want to lose them. Your last health bar( your body) will be higher and higher but it takes time since it grows along with your level. I've found that this change make it so that green gems and shield gems are more important than before. And perhaps that is why it's harder. Sometimes the enemy can get lucky but starting the first turn with only 2 action icons, I think that chance is reduced a lot and you have more chance to prepare for what's to come. So I hope it doesn't make the game feel unfair. Good catch with that panic gem bug. I think I should disable all gems effect right after the opponent is KO'ed. Difficulty is pretty much spot on now. It's challenging but is by no means frustrating, could even be a little harder in the final release to make the player grind a little more. Well done! It's really coming along nicely and I'm looking forward to the next release :)

I noticed if I made progress in the game, leveled up and equipped a skill I got like ice bolt, then went and loaded an earlier save, I'd still have ice bolt. The game doesn't check which skills you shouldn't have access to when you load a save file. I know you guys have a bug you report as "save issues" and I'm not sure if this falls under it, but felt I should mention it.

Nice work so far. Occasionally when making a match I will get an error that reads: stack traceback: [string "chunk"]: 1: in main chunk [C]: in function 'GetGemStatusId' [string "chunk"]: 1: in main chunk [C]: in function 'GetGemStatusId' [string "chunk"]: 1: in main chunk (these appear to repeat a few times) GetGemStatusId(gem) == "Attack" and IsFriendlyGem(gem, a) == false It doesn't break the game or stop the battle. Everything continues as normal as far as I can tell. I think it's only happened in the Round Forest but I may have seen it in the cave as well, I can't really remember.

Very neat build, I really love where the tree molesting Volga was going! Very hot. I do wonder...if the beefy dragon bartender will play any sexual role in the game?

I think it only happens in the Round Forest. So far, we can't reproduce this bug yet after we have fixed other bugs. I'll update a new version that most of the bugs are fixed again soon. - Punipen

Thanks! I don't think I have encountered this bug before. I'll look more into it. As for AI matching away their own special gems, I'll address this in the future. This might make the game more difficult but it's something I wanna try anyway! - Punipen
