Hi guy! A bit late but here's the link to the latest build. This build is a small demo starting from Volga's prologue - the end of the 1st quest. I haven't added sound effects and proper bgm to the visual novel scene yet. But this should give you and idea on how each quest will progress. Since the English scripts in here haven't been proofread by volunteers yet, I expect many grammatical errors or Engrish in there >_<; I apologize in advance! I'd like to hear how you feel about the pacing of the game from playing this build. Are the monsters too easy/too hard? Too many battle? What do you think of the visual novel scene? Please let us know after you play the game! - Punipen ????????????????????????????????????????????????

Please note that while the game will recognize the old save files, it isn't compatible with this build. Please start the game from the beginning!

Hey guys, I'm still playing through the demo and enjoying it, but I did run into an interesting bug. After you finish getting a room at the inn, if you go back to the coliseum and reply "yes", the game will hang.

I laugh a bit during the colliseum registration ! The scenario is entertaining enough to keeps me not skipping dialogs :)

I've found the game well balanced. The monster make good decision and some battle can be pretty hard if he keeps blocking your possibilities. You feels some pression during normal battle which i find it great. But beginning first seems to give too much advantages (for both player and monster) as you totally destroy all good possibilities for your enemy to play for next turn and you can destroy one bar in one turn (which mean heal become useless for next turn). Seems hard to balance that through In term of spacing. Dialog aren't to long which is great but during the Rio quest, it was a bit boring to have all the dialog a the beginning then a bunch of fight after. Balancing dialog during all the quest should be better. I had a black screen when i click on return to map after loosing the boss battle.

Really enjoyed the demo! Excellent work. Just one thing - I've noticed that Volga's image without armor is censored (when you lose in combat)? Anyway, I really enjoyed the battle system, there's a lot of strategic depth there without it being overwhelming which is great. The visual novel scene was fun too!

I liked this demo. I love the idea of the quest system where if you win you get to have a nice sexual time with one of the NPCs and a possible romantic option. Would have liked to see Volga get raped by those bandits if you lose the fight though or have some dialogue choices to have sex with the big guy if I win maybe? I enjoyed the pacing of the game. I couldn't just rush through the dungeon and beat everyone my first try, however I didn't need to spend hours grinding on monsters either. I also like how luck is a factor but it also isn't the only one anymore. One of the biggest problems I had was trying to read the text on a smaller resolution with Windowed mode on. The white text on a light background gave me a little bit of a headache. Maybe a darker/bigger font? Another error I discovered was my game went to a black screen with no controls after choosing to return to the map when I lost a fight. The English was fairly good, too. Not perfect but I never had to stop and think about it so nice job! All in all it's nice to see some major progress with this project. I can't wait to see Volga getting into some sticky situations in the future! :)

Really loving this game. It's so fun and entertaining that you can keep playing for long amounts of time ^^. I have just one question though: We know that there's going to be "scenes" for if you lose against the characters, but I'm wondering, if you lose against just normal monsters in the full game, will there be a "scene" with them as well?

Arcane Wuulf

Same here the game froze. I would suggest giving the extra NPC names instead of Hotel Owner and etc. THE HOTEL OWNER IS A KHAJIIT!!!! So far so good. Good Job :)

Its very well done so far. Found a little bit of errors or bugs as I played through the game: -When you go back to the Coliseum, the name of the NPC is changed to "Hotel Keeper" which i don't know if its right or not... -When playing fullscreen mode, the BGM stops playing (Usually on the final boss) and the game goes black for the scene afterwards but I guess it only applies to fullscreen mode since everything works fine in Windowed Mode. -Sometimes when I fast forward on some dialogs, when battles appear the battle speed is fast forward as well (happened when Volga registers and battles the Dummy) -During the scene with Rio and Volga at the end I think I saw Rio narrate part of the scene beginning with "He says as he..." This is just what I found and thought I could report you on. But the English isn't all that bad. A few grammar mishaps here and there but excellent!

I'm surprised I managed to beat Dugan. He hits freakin' hard! I also thought the mantis thing hits a bit hard for a low level creature, but I never lost a fight, so I guess I know how to work the strategy behind the game well enough. It was a pleasant surprise to see an uncensored Dugan when I beat him and a much more than pleasant surprise to see the reward for completing the quest. I did run into a bug, though. After the quest, I went to the coliseum to battle the dummy again, but after saying yes to the registration girl, the game froze. Still, great game so far. Keep up the good work!

MissingKeys

I love this but I did find it much to easy it took me about 10 tries to lose on purpose the enemies AI would keep getting HP instead of attack when they were on full and would often waste turns. But other than that and a few awkward translations and bugs its really nice I hope to see it continue.

Great update. Having played through the new build here are my thoughts.. • The Coliseum introduction is fun; I enjoyed the dialog between Volga and the receptionist, although I read every dialog anyway, the surprise that Volga went through was entertaining and made it enjoyable to read. Apart from the grammar and punctuation I think you have a really good base to improve off of. I'd like to suggest some options that we can pick after the main dialog is over, questions could range from: • The history behind the Coliseum.. • The amount of participants entering and maybe a story she has to tell about one of them.. • What is the purpose of the tournament? What is the ultimate goal behind it all? • What kind of privileges gladiators get.. • The inn. I like the Inn, but (personal opinion: I think the fact that the inn keeper has his mouth in a massive grin looks out of place) ignoring that I like the inn keeper. Again the dialog here is good, just needs some touch ups as you already know. Same thoughts as the Coliseum; after the main dialog with the inn keeper (and before Rio arrives) we should be able to ask some questions about the inn, such as.. • How many gladiators have come to you to stay? • With the start of the tournament soon, have you seen anyone strange around? • Tell me about yourself.. Oh, and, maybe the option to have some 'alone' time in your room.. • Rio. I really like Rio's personality; a bit immature and cocky, makes for a fun guy to escort. Of course he looks cute as hell, especially with the reward at the end of the first quest, I really hope we will see more of him as the game progresses. • Combat: The combat feels more balanced since the last build (especially the spores) so I don't really have any complaints. Possibly increasing the damage done by the smaller monsters like slimes to make sure we at least lose a bit of armor 'wink wink'. And of course •Dugan: It's cool that we run into these two on the way, makes the quest far more interesting (hoping that there will be more involving these two later on) Even though I (think) I got lucky with the fight, it was challenging (which is a good thing) He has a lot of unique moves which makes the fight far better and a lot different to the other monsters. It's nice to see another enemy that has armor breaks too, and a bonus for the winning strike. I'd like to see options to force Dugan to do something we say since we won the fight kind of like the punishment from the Coliseum but in our own way, some sort of sexual act.. would be really nice. (I understand from a story point of view how this wouldn't work since Volga was reluctant to let Rio do what he did so it probably would have to be done another way) • Rio reward: The scene was done well, the dialog leading up the it all was nice too. The art looks great; there were a good amount of different scenes which kept everything interesting. One thing i'd like to suggest is to make the dialog box smaller, this way we can see more of what is happening, it will look a lot more clean. • Bugs: The only bug I ran into was after the fight with Dugan, I was met with a black screen when they began talking again, this happened the second time I played it, the first I had no problems. I think I got lucky and didn't meet any more bugs. Reading here some people found a few. This was an excellent update, so good to see the progress coming along. Can't wait to see more!

That CG with Rio really exceeded my expectations. You and Kurono did a really good job. I can't wait until those new NG images are put in. The VN scenes could use that extra level of expression. The combat is still fun, though sometimes the enemy can just get really lucky. Good thing Volga has a lot of health. The boss fight was fun and the music for it was really good. Liked stripping him down nothing too. This sex humiliation is a lot more fun than killing them. The kingdom has the right idea. I also would like to support Gunthars idea for more exposition dialogue choices. Can't wait for the next update. Also, if someone wanted to volunteer to help improve out the English translation, where should they go?

I really loved this latest build of the game! The only bug I encountered was when going back to previous monsters to grind levels, sometimes you would click on the monster and nothing would happen (even when they were not red) So far everything looks great! Cant wait to try the next build!

Really enjoyed this, I'm not much into puzzle games at all, I thought the pacing was pretty difficult and unfair at first but once you get the idea down it's pretty balanced and quick paced. The battles were great but I think the progression is a bit off? You can jump from a level 1 NPC to a Level 2 NPC then to a Level 6 NPC. But I'm not sure if that's intended? And if it is, how do you grind to level up? As far as the Visual Novel goes, PLEASE keep/add to the whole scent/smell stuff, adds a great deal of hotness to the scene, by ALOT. Also the art style works really well with NG's stuff, I'm really excited!

Wooooooo, I loved it! Now I wanna do mister rhino up the gazoozle :3

kemocoliseum

Thank you for all the comments, everyone! I'm so excited and glad to see that you enjoy it. I was worried but it seems that we're moving in the right direction. It feels really good to at least know which way this game should be going next. Please give me sometime and I'll reply to each comment in more details. Thank you again! - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Thank you very much! It's great to hear that the dialogue is entertaining. I was really worried about it >_<; Not really sure how to balance the first turn advantage yet but I don't have much problem with it so I'll leave it like that for now and visit this problem later. Regarding the quest, I feel the same way that there should be a VN scene to spice things up in the dungeon. I'll do that in the future. I thought I fix the return to map bug already but perhaps I did but I didn't update the build I uploaded >_<; Sorry! - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Yeah, I was going to replace his picture with an uncensored one but I must have forgotten somewhere during the development >_<; Glad to hear that the battle is not too frustrating anymore! - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Thank you! I'll make the text bigger and the box smaller or more transparent so that it won't cover everything when we show a CG on the screen. There will be more quests with sexy situations for sure ^ ^ - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Glad to hear that you enjoy the game ^ ^ We want to add scenes when you lose to normal monsters too, but that's a lot of contents to add so I don't think it will happen anytime soon. We will focus on major points in the game first. Then we might add those if we have time/ resources. - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Thank you! The fast forward is something I've been trying to fix but I guess it's still there :( The receptionist shouoldn't be hotel keeper! That's a mistake on my part >_<; - Punipen

kemocoliseum

I'm glad to hear that! Seems like many people like Dugan when they see what he looks like under the mask XD - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Thanks! Since it's just the first quest, I didn't want to make it too frustrating. I think Dugan should be a bit of a challenge at this stage, seeing it still takes more than 1 try for people to beat him. I'm thinking about making different AI for different enemy, but I want to do that after all the other systems are finished first. - Punipen

kemocoliseum

These are really great suggestions! Thank you so much. I'm not sure about some alone time with Volga, considering the story point. However, this might be an option later in the game, at least if you make his lust rating high enough. I'm glad to see many people like Dugan and his boss. These two will appear more in the future for sure ^ ^ (And you might get to see Dugan in some erotic situations, hehe) - Punipen

kemocoliseum

I'll make sure to pass the compliment regarding the CG to Kurono. He worked really hard on it. I think the variations help too ^ ^ As for improving English, I already have someone who offered to help with that so don't worry! :) - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Thank you! Glad to hear that you like it. I was worried if people will enjoy the erotic scene or not >_<; - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Thank you! I wanted to make the tutorial more sophisticate, but I don't have time at this point. I'll revisit this and improve it some later time though. I still need to play around with the level part. I intend it to be a hint to give you an idea of how strong the enemy is. You can grind by revisiting the old enemy nodes once they respawn. They respawn when you fighting enemy in other nodes. I haven't added a respawn countdown number yet, but I'll do that in the future. - Punipen

kemocoliseum

Hehe, thanks! Rio will be away for a while but he might be back in the future ^ ^ - Punipen

Having played the demo, I can say you guys did a good job improving the balance of difficulty. I should point out that the fight with Dugan was a bit one-sided in his favor. I lost the first two times I tried to beat him. The third time seemed like the gems were in my favor after having lost to him before. I was thinking of grinding my level up to five but at some point before moving to the second half of the road dungeon, I could no longer fight the killer mantis after I had beaten it once. After finishing the quest and heading back to the city, I could no longer fight any of the monsters in the dungeon. Was this intentional or was it a bug? After beating Dugan, the screen stayed black with the exception of the dialogue box. Do you plan to keep it that way or is there going to be a CG scene of Dugan naked and embarrassed? I've been thinking: could you program a hotkey option to hide/reveal the dialogue box during erotic and non-erotic conversations? I think that would be more convenient for the player and has been implemented in plenty of visual novels developed in Renpy. Everyone else has already said what I wanted to say, so keep up the good work! I look forward to the next update/demo! <3

I loved playing this demo! The visual novel scenes are great and I loved seeing the characters interact, they really add a lot to the game and make it engrossing! And the battles are still loads of fun! Dugan was a really tough boss but I was able to defeat him in the end - and the reward for doing so (the lewd scene with Rio) was amazing, better than any reward I've had for overcoming a challenge in a game before! I'm really excited to play more of this game - thank you very much for sharing this demo with us ^^

Small note if you haven't seen it: the training doll is still written as 人形 in the English option.

This demo was really nice! There were few bugs but I liked the RPG elements and it worked pretty nice. Looking forward to other versions of it.

Perhaps I missed it, but on OS X all of the text is in Japanese? At least the dialogue spoken by characters is! The menus are fine.

kemocoliseum

You can change the game's language by editing the config file with a text editor. I will add a manual file in the future builds. - Punipen

Hey there! Just tried out the first quest demo, and I'm very, very happy with how it's coming along. (I first tried the public demo a couple months ago and that's the last I'd seen of the game and updates, until I came across the Patreon for the game.) The early battles are well-balanced, and the option to train with a dummy is also nice. Being able to repeat battles with monsters on the road map is nice to grind up a little bit for a more-challenging first boss. The boss battle was pretty great, too. Definitely a jump in difficulty, but I think it's an appropriate challenge, and definitely more doable after leveling up to 5 or 6. One suggestion I thought of after losing to the boss my first couple of tries; have you guys already considered adding a more substantial game-over or battle loss sequence? Maybe a graphic, erotic or not, of your character in defeat; or, the enemy character in victory. At this point, when you lose, it seems like a very quick cut back to the retry or load menu, which is a little sad after seeing the no-armor state of your character briefly. I think it'd just be nice to milk that broken armor graphic a little more. :P But that's just a small thing that crossed my mind after a couple of losses. Other than that, the game is fantastic. I am so hopeful for you guys to keep working on this and have progress that you're happy with, too. I'd love to see this game complete, and I definitely will be enjoying it thoroughly when that happens. Cheers!

Its still the same How do i access to the new stuff (dungeon guest) pub

I accidently skipped the CG in the second dungeon, so when I went back to a previous save (in the first dungeon) and played back to the second dungeon, all the monster panels were still active, and event panels were selected and I couldn't complete the quest.

I think I must have forgotten to reset the state of the dungeon you haven't unlocked. I'll add this to the bugs list. - Punipen
