(I've been meaning to rewrite this mod's description for a while and since there are some big changes, it's a good opportunity to do it now. Reposting it to rewrite it all by using the new post system)

In Brief:

This mod adds the 16 personalities from the MBTI Theory into the Sims 4. They affect the gameplay but are mostly meant to sit in the background and integrate with personality traits to make sims more rounded. A lot of things work in the background.

  • Assigning MBTI Profiles

Personalities can be assigned by taking the MBTI test from the PC or phone:

There are two tests, they give different results but both rely on your sims pre-existing personality traits. You can retake the test as many times you want if you want to get different results (you can also use my debug cheats to force a result or pick a specific one), the official test most likely will always give the same one though, we used the cognitive functions and associated them to Maxis traits to get the results so it's pretty consistent.

NPCs will also take the test and type themselves.

  • MBTI Typing Skill

Taking the test will give you the MBTI typing skill:

This is a pretty easy to increase skill because it goes up with social interactions, the more your Sim interacts with other Sims the better they'll be at understanding other's personalities. It's so easy because it unlocks social interactions and among them the ability to type NPCs:

So you can type other Sims as you wish regardless of the result they got from the test.

"Attempt to Re-type" re-runs the test on other Sims while "Re-type" let's you pick a specific MBTI profile for them:

Thanks for the update. I've been using this mod since you first created it. It adds so much character to my Sims. Question for you; what inconsistencies and integrations does the override file take care of? I'm trying to figure out if I want to add it, too.

2023-06-14 12:14:07 Score outcomes in the interactions for now, it overrides the scoring for the new conversation topics added by maxis adding the MBTI traits into the mix so the interactions are more or less likely to fail or succeed also depending on the compatibility between MBTI types. I also handled this aspect in the buffs so it's not really required, I'll remove the override when the affordance modifiers in the buffs start working again

2023-06-14 12:14:03 Hello. Your mod is really cool, but is it possible that you have switched Logician by Architect? Cause, from what I have understand from my research is that Architect is more a other name, more common, for Mastermind with MBTI.

2023-06-14 12:14:07 Depends on the site you get your info from, I used the MBTI functions not the popular naming, the source for the naming in the profiles is a website, I don't remember which one. 16 Personalities has a different naming system than Personality Junkie for example

Logician sometimes is used for INTJ sometimes for INTP, using the 4 letters is more precise.

Hello! Will this mod be updated? I love it a lot and it's integral to my gameplay but i had to take it out due to constant errors ;(

Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception running Element (ValueError: list.remove(x): x not in list) Additionally, Better Exceptions shows Zero:trait_MBTI_ENFP and Zero_BFM:buff_Trait_MBTI_ENFP under invalid turning, though it's not the only personality I've gotten errors for. Hope this helps!
