READ THE DESCRIPTION!

I was going to add a bunch of stuff to this mod, but then I was "asked" to give a look at Expanded Mermaids and that covers a lot of stuff already, so I decided to add mine on top without making doubled interactions. After all, all I wanted was more cruel mermaids, so this mod here is compatible out of the box with Expanded Mermaids, more on this later...

As a first thing, guess what?

THIS MOD REQUIRES THE XML INJECTOR and Death Interactions 

Otherwise, the interaction on the PC will not show.

So, from the PC, you will be able to get the Siren Kelp:

Only mermaids can get and eat it. Eating the kelp will turn your mermaid into a Siren (a Siren eating the kelp will go back to be a regular Mermaid) with the thirst for blood motive:

It will also unlock new interactions the siren will be able to perform when in water to satisfy this need:

Lure for a Small Drink - will fill half thirst bar and unfill half energy bar from the victim

Lure for a Deep Drink - will almost fill the thirst bar, and almost unfill the energy bar of the victim

Lure to Devour - completely fills the bar, kills the victim...

Even vampires:

I'm not sure it will work in swimming pools, but it will drop the energy bar the same.

When not in water, mermaids will be able to fill the thirst need with all the things vampires can use to do it, provided that they meet the skill requirements to order the packs etc...

This includes the options from MORE DRINKS FOR VAMPIRES that I updated for the occasion (so get the new version)

NOTICE: the replacements for the plasma stuff will not work with other mods altering the same thing, for this reason, the included file also alters the amount of thirst vampires and sirens get from them, though not much... this is a mod I had for myself updated for the occasion. This part of the mod is in a separate package.

The option Siren's Regeneration will reset the Mermaid age while filling the victim age progression (not aging them up, though... because water) (MOVED - only for Sirens. Patch not required anymore)

Eating the Siren Kelp will remove the Kelpie and Sea Witch traits. 

Now, Expanded Mermaids seems to be outdated, I'll try to see if what doesn't work can be fixed and eventually post the fix in the comment section of the mod in the near future, unless someone else does it before, while waiting for the original author to come back to it.

EDIT - There is already an updated version of Expanded Mermaids in the comments section, and from my testing it works.

Vampires Can Kill is updated to work with this mod, too (Sirens can't be cattle)

By the way with the new unlocked interactions is that when the sim becomes a siren? And is installing the vampires can kill mod optional or mandatory?

Aw man, I clicked on this so fast when I saw the notification, but I don’t have the vampire pack, so I don’t think I can use this 😭 Great job on this, it looks awesome!

Should work without the vampire pack... Try installing the main file without the plasma stuff one... More drinks for Vampires should work too, the glass of blood if you have dine out at least. The only thing is that your siren will be able to fulfill the need only from sims

This is awesome! I always wanted a darker version of the mermaids! And it's cool to hear that you've noticed the Expended Mermaids mod, I unistalled it a long time ago because the creator stopped updating it. Now I can have two things I always wanted it! Thanks a lot!

Will this be compatible with Wicked perversion mermaid update?

I have no idea... in case, if put WP in the overrides folder then Nisa changes will override mine, you'll only lose the regeneration power so it's not a big deal. The rest should be compatible no problem, unless Nisa mod has a custom motive bar for mermaids.

This is soo cool, Ive been waiting for sac to make killer mermaids lol Is there a way to make it so if a vampire and mermaid have a baby, it's a siren? :D Feels like the obvious hybrid right there :P

I don´t know why but in my sims didn´t work. I dont know if i m doing something wrong. I put the packcages in the mod folder and the patch in overrides but when i go to the pc didnt appear the option to buy the fruit. (XML INJECTOR is running )

It's under order... The sim must be a mermaid... I don't know if this can help, you didn't give me many details.

I installed the Expanded Mermaid mod from Mod The Sims and then your mod, also placed the patch in the overrides folder, XML Injector is also working but I can't find the option to buy the mermaid kelp. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, I downloaded the overrides folder and the resource from your post, pasted that into my mods folder and placed the patch there

Check on the phone if the testing option for the injector works. If there is no option, try downloading the injector again. Sometimes it happens

Hi Zero, I want to clarify please, can I only use the Sirens one alone? Not sure how plasma and thirst work, are they mandatory to have at the same time? Thanks!

You need one of the two packages along with the main one, one add the thirst motive on top of all the others (including hunger) while the other replaces hunger with thirst. the plasma stuff package is to make plasma packs work with the mod, but it's optional.

The option to buy the siren kelp doesn't show up on the pc under 'order'. Don't really know why. The XML injector is running correctly and I chose only one of the two packages. Is there something I'm missing?

Check that you also have the main file and test the mod alone... May be another mod injecting interactions on the PC

Hi! Just downloaded a BUNCH of your mods, thank you for the hard work! I've come across an XML injector conflict "Eat Raw Fish(v1.2b) - and CC trait Raw Food Lover" that currently conflicts with this mod if anyone has it and Sirens isn't working. There's a supposed fix on page 2 of the comments, but I didn't test it.

The conflict is due to the Xml injector. Eat raw fish conflicts with every mod using the injector, it's a script conflict. There must be an updated version of eat raw fish in the comments on Mod The Sims.

I have an issue with that when I have turned a mermaid into a siren using the kelp the sim wont change into their mermaid form anymore, I have the expanded mermaids as well and mermaids not turned into sirens change as per usual, just not the ones eating the kelp. I do not have your Simple Mermaid Form mod as I want them to change, ideas?

May be another conflict. I didn't look into the other mod since it was updated some time ago... I also don't use it because it's way too complicated for my taste. First try to test the mod alone. Also, the simple mermaid form actually gets you chose when you want your sim to change form, doesn't disable it. It's a toggle.

If it is all possible, when a Siren has the Occult Vampire affiliation, as well as Mermaid Occult Affiliation (with Siren Occult), would it be possible to Have Vampire Thirst Override Siren thirst, as because since Iced-Cream created a simplified and unified Hybrid System, Hybrid occults are now that much easier (I created a Siren/Vampire hybrid, but it had Two Thirst motives).

1. Does the Siren kelp show up only in the rewards store for Mermaids? (I assume it would). 2. Does the sim I would apply it too have to have certain traits to unlock it? Or ANY mermaid can buy it? I ask cause the siren kelp isn't showing up for any of my mermaids.

I'm able to use it WITHOUT Expanded Mermaids. Works great on its own.

I have this siren living in a house not in sulani, and can confirm what you said about it not working in pools unfortunately, and since I replaced the hunger for them, the only way to feed in her home area is trough the blood drinks in the bar. So I was wondering about the pool limitations, why they weren't function like the open water, was it just so that you didn't think it was needed, or was there some complications. Thinking about making a private add-on to make her being able to feed in the pool, if you are not interested in adding an add-on like that yourself, but wonder if you can tell me if it is pointless spending time on it if you have already tried and it didn't work? And maybe if you know anything that could help me get it done faster it would be much appreciated, like details easily missed. I have modded a bit before (and still do), but I am not a pro.

Limitation is due to the type of death that works only in oceans... a separate interaction can be done to work in pools

Hi Zero! I noticed that the option to purchase Siren Kelp is gone, but I could find it in debug which it doesn't have an option to eat it. Is this mod outdated?
