Production Blog: Sheriff Hayseed Heads Into Animation (Patreon)

Hello again Patreon folk! Here with an update.

The storyboard for Sheriff Hayseed: Swindling Simpletons is complete. Background artists are on the job and animators will begin today! The storyboard came in around 8 minutes long, with 28 backgrounds to make, and a whopping 55 SHOTS to animate. 

This is no small project and will take some time, but hopefully not as long as I'm suspecting. With a full team on board, I can't really predict. This is a project that would have taken me alone probably 4 to 6 months. With a team accomplishing multiple steps of production at once, there's no telling! This is the biggest undertaking the team has taken yet!!

My role in all this was to build the final puppets for Todd and Shawn, to be used for any and all future shorts. They're highly moldable yet simple and will be used as a template by our biggest Harmony expert Bisque to build further rigs like Joy and Lloyd and everyone else we need. All these poses can be made with the base assets of the rigs.

So with all that, animation begins! I recently gave a style demonstration to the animators so they can start with a strong foot forward. Once again, thank you all for the support throughout this growing period for the channel and myself. While I have found that the cost of my team at full force does out-weigh my earnings, even from all revenue streams, I have big plans to make some banger fuckin cartoons, even if I can't run the full team all the time (YET)... I just can't thank you all enough for helping us fund these silly toons and I do hope you enjoy what we've got cooking up. It's been a lot of prep work, but we're gonna start seeing some of those results soon. I think we already have with Routine Stop, and Mike & Zach Beat It, but heck, it's only gonna get better.
