Not to be that person of " well actually 🤓" But, your question of "What do gnats provide?" got me thinking and according to a graduate of the School of Professional Horticulture at the New York Botanical Garden, "The biggest impact to humans would actually be in the study of genetics. Because fruit flies can produce multiple generations in one year, they are very useful in studying evolution and how genetic traits are passed down through generations. Mice and rabbits also reproduce very quickly, but they take an awful lot of resources to keep alive compared to fruit flies. Plus people don’t protest when fruit flies are used for scientific research like many do when mammals are used."

Don't get me wrong I despise gnats like the next person over, but then you kind of have to question of why do certain things exist and how do they provide a certain impact. Anyway love the vid doing an amazing job is always. Enjoy the rest of the 4th of July🥰
