Worst thing a mangaka can do, is take such a compelling cast / story, with so much mystery, and just sexually violate an MC with literally no plot importance WHATSOEVER. Why was this added? To be edgy - literally so many alternative scenes highlighting his true nature could've made this work for the direction the author wanted to go into, but holy fuck they need to stop letting sick mangakas just throw SA into their material when anything else could work.

To be honest, idk why you feel or have the need to have stories only do things you're comfortable with. It's the author's choice and whether you think it's pointless or not is irrelevant. Yes, they could have done it other ways but my guy it's the post-apocalyptic world, it would be naive to think it's just edgy.

I'm simply saying from a story telling perspective, something as devestating as SA can't be thrown around lightly. I get what you're saying - but if the author could convey the theme / messaging of a post-apocalyptic world, without SA, which he had been doing for 11 episodes, then it comes off as cheap shock-value - which does nothing good for the plot. I don't mind if a show does something that makes me uncomfortable, but I think it should at least have an impact writing-wise that makes it an excusable direction to take the series in.
