It's got a dumb thing where you have to have clicked on the player itself recently for the hotkeys to register. It's similar to how you have to have a window/app selected on your computer to do shit with it. Funimation had the same thing, I think. It is annoying, but that's what it is. Not really random. Funimation was a worse website, imo. Once you get the hang of it, HiDive is easier to manage and better than Funimation (which still isn't saying a lot).

What's even more wild and fucked up, is that people are actually sending the MOTHER hate for her feelings about a show portraying a character BASED ON HER DAUGHTER. Where the fuck do THEY get off??? They are literally THE problem. Imagine watching an anime about the toxic internet nearly driving a girl to suicide, then literally becoming that toxicity towards the mother of a cyberbullying victim. Jfc sometimes I really can't stand humanity. That's just beyond despicable.

Yup, she did her research and got every aspect of Ai's mannerisms down pat. Also, I heard the star eyes are actually just a visual effect for the readers/viewers, and they're not really there. I think Akane might end up figuring some shit out, and help Aqua find his father. Those two would make a god-tier detective duo.
