Imagine having to accept that a random-ass word that is literally no worse at all than every single ACTUAL swear word, is suddenly super duper "taboo" and "forbidden" for really dumb fucking reasons. Of all words, somehow "retarded" has basically earned a reputation for being the second worst word after the n-word, even though in reality every single word of profanity is way worse. It's literally a word in the dictionary with more than one meaning. The whole so-called taboo on it is fucking illogical af. People dick riding the "forbiddeness" of a mere word triggers me so much. It's so dumb. It literally came out of nowhere. Society went from just, "Don't call ppl that directly" to suddenly "DON'T EVER USE THAT WORD AT ALL FOR ANY REASON IN ANY CONTEXT BECAUSE IT'S THE GREATEST SIN OF ALL TIME" over night. Like fuck no, make me. The word really isn't that serious. Kay, mini-rant over. My bad.
