This episode was by far the most "Trigger" like episode in the show so far.

I'm SO happy we immediately got confirmation of S2! I was certain they'd finish the story, if only because they clearly put a lot of heart and energy into producing such a good first season, and Dunmeshi's story isn't so long that it getting completed was ever a worry (as someone in the chat pointed out, S2 is likely to be the last season, since it's basically the second half of the manga.) Still, nice to hear it's already being actively produced. I also hope they take their time with it, but I wonder if (depending on how far along/efficient they are, especially since they have the manga as reference) we might be lucky enough to get the second season before the end of this year... If not, early 2025 probably! I hope so, I'll be dying for it until it comes out! Thanks again for your reactions, they've been super fun and a great way to rewatch eps after watching them with my roommate. It's made me really happy to see so many people getting into Dungeon Meshi, and especially gratifying and enjoyable to see it grow on you so much. You offer great commentary both for the humor and more character and plot-driven elements of the show. I'm really glad you've ended up liking it! Guess now's a good time to check out some of your other series. I'm currently keeping up with your Regular Show eps, but you've watched some great stuff (I'm just now seeing you did Odd Taxi, which was soooo good) so guess that's how I'll spend my time until more Dunmeshi ;j Thanks again!
