I'd been so excited for this episode to drop!! Glad you had so much fun with it. Also, as someone in chat mentioned near the end, yeah a lot of fans agree that Laios is autistic. This episode includes one of the most outright examples of what supports that, with his confrontation with Shuro. His hyperfixation on/deep interest in monsters, trouble socializing and reading subtle queues, tenancy to say the "wrong" or "inappropriate" thing, etc. A lot of people on the spectrum really relate to his struggles - I've already seen quite a few reactions from others relating to his experience in this episode.

Best episode so far, great reaction too, I'm glad you're digging this series as much as I am. I love that Laios looks like your typical fantasy hero but in reality is as unique as it gets.

I kinda wanted kabu and rin to stay at least. Kabu kinda reminds me of Laios. Kabu will analyze people in the moment and Laios will analyze monsters via trial and error. And Laios constantly wanting to eat things might be because he wants to understand them too. Like babies or puppies constantly chewing and eating things. He just never grew out of it or something happened that made him kinda fixated on that. Him calling fallin cool then critiquing her was also interesting like he's scared of monsters but also admires in a way maybe.

Laios 100% is autistic... there are to many traits, obsesive about very especific things, problems with communication, uncapable of reading the mood, and he doesn't respond like normal people to certain events, he is emotionally detached in a lot of situations but that's just because he struggles with sinking in what is happening at the beggining... too fucking many traits to not be on purpose, also, Ryouko kui, the author has a one-shot where she depicted another character with autistics traits, so this wouldn't be new for her. I thinks that's one of the reasons Kabru is struggling reading him even when he is good with people, because Laios is just not build like a normal mf lmao.
