Frieren really pulled a LTG and went: "You should kill yourself now."😭

I think the difference in culture/building aesthetics is probably reflective of the passing of time (1000 years). I.E. think about how far our own society developed in 1000 years from Rome to the Crusades. Just a guess though

JsnSkg

Flamme kinda bad, though.

Ramfemboy

bro we had jjk, frieren, undead unluck, and invincible this week. what a time to be alive. we just need danmachi, mha, tower of god, and black clover to come back

500 years vs 1000 Like a 10 year old getting cocky and picking a fight with someone who is 20

AdventHorizons

Tankma

Legit that's all I could think about in that moment

JsnSkg

Nah, you right. I was understating it. 110% waifu material.

Frieren saw the "kys" meme 😭

JsnSkg

Frieren literally has a beautiful soul. Not in the cheesy and mushy sense, but literally..... that is an extremely beautiful soul. That moment with the mana increase gave me chills. So good.

Bro I was expecting a cool ass battle like last week, but this was way better 😭

MediumSella

Frieren does such a good job at the chill and peaceful, but also kills it with the fight scenes. There's more than one way to kill a demon it seems.

zoltar

Frieren is better than me i would have been like Aura..... get oiled and start twerking

Just Another Josh

God that was worth the years of wait. It doesn't get any better than Frieren walking away and giving the order to kill herself. Nothing flashy, nothing dramatic. Frieren just gets the job done and moves on, like she did with the first demon she killed. She's basically a weapon crafted solely to deceive and slaughter any demon she comes across, it's incredible. We've also not got a hint at the upper power level in this series, as Frieren's mana there was even larger than Flamme's. There's a reason that, going forward, the series focuses mostly on Fern and Stark's fights. Frieren would basically one shot most opponents, with very few exceptions. You can't have much action when she walks onto the battlefield. She's got the exact same effect Gojo has.

I guess you'd realised by what the episode showed after, but the "What area of the world is this, Roman Empire?" - It's not set in our world at all, but the Ancient Roman/Greek aesthetics and fashions are used perfectly to show Human civilisation in the exact same area changing over millennia. Frieren and Flamme lived in the central lands, 1000 years before the Hero's Party exists. So it's all the same area of their world. You can also assume that if you go back a few more thousand years you'd have more ancient architecture and clothing like Ancient Mesopotamian, and all the way back to hunter-gatherers. Though a world like this having magic - I assume - there will be no industrial revolution, and that human advancement wont go past medieval or Victorian era's in Frierens world, because magic can stand in for electricity and energy sources, and guns are not needed to be invented as magic fills that role already and is immensely more destructive.
