The Tokyo Federation of the Deaf supervises the sign language used, so yes, it is real sign language, which i find awesome since i dont think many shows are superfised like that

The entire point of Hilling's character is that she's overprotective. You're missing how she's never really changed. Being a protective parent doesn't necessarily fulfil children's wishes, but it's her instinct to keep Bojji away from danger. Seeing Bojji struggle to handle a sword confirmed Hilling's beliefs. Can't go shallow on these character insights. There's no way a caring mom in the medieval ages would support their deaf and powerless son to be a puppet on the throne. The only ones who do tend to be power hungry.

I found it was pretty evident about her character pretty early on. I was able to pick up on her being an overprotective mother right away from this episode. What really gave it away to me was the way she looked after Bojji when he ran off during the ceremony. That wasn't the face of some mean bitch, that was the face of a genuinely concerned mother. Even moreso when she literally dove out the window to save him, without any regard for her own life.

Idk man, I don't think they were really wrong. I mean yeah, it was bullshiit after what the King himself decided, but at the same time it really is facts that Bojji wasn't in good shape to be a King. He'd only get manipulated and used. "All these niggas gotta go" For what exactly? Nothing they've done has been all that serious lol.
