I feel like Nagatoro is actually lowkey conditioning Senpai to speak up more, stand up for himself, and be a little more assertive. And through baby steps, you can tell it's working. Also his growing feelings for her is definitely helping. Through her weird and kinda fucked approach, she's helping him break out of his shell lol.
