That whole scene with the girl was weird and seemingly needless. I bet she's how he got stabbed. Why throw her in randomly like that unless she's a plot device?

Or it's to emphasize how completely off the rails his past self goes. I wonder if they're gonna be fighting each other at some point. Obviously not physically, but what if his past self becomes aware that he has another personality that takes over and he purposely tries to hinder progress.

Oh btw, the odd light and some still shots were meant to censor a swastika symbol on the back of the jackets. It was meant to avoid controversy overseas. That symbol basically means "Manji" since they are the Tokyo MANJI gang
