I actually hopped onto beastars recently. I tried it when season 1 came out just slightly but I was so thrown off by the animation and the fact it was literally about animals acting like humans and it seemed a little too weird even for my standards but I actually like it so far. I think the biggest thing was the big thing about the little rabbit girl stripping down and talking about having sex. That just threw me away from wanting to watch. I ain't a furry. I have seen up to episode 1 of season 2. I am gonna go back and watch your reactions starting from the beginning. I really like the way they write the characters and the overall messages they implement into this series. I tend to do stuff like this where I am thrown off or pushed away from an anime for whatever the reason may be but eventually I end up giving them more chances. It sounds kind of dumb when you know I spent part of my teenage years binge watching over a hundred anime including the most random ecchi and harem and slice of life anime that you could ever waste your time with lol.
