This movie was animated by the same studio that animated Your Name, Weathering With You, and 5 Centimeters Per Second which is why the animation is so crispy (you guys might've already heard this though, not sure). Makoto Shinkai also wrote the story for each of these movies as well, which is also pretty interesting since they each grasp the fact that some individuals are sometimes ''separated'' from each other in some way. (e.g Your Name: characters are separated by time, Garden of Words: separated by age/distance, 5 Centimeters Per Second: separated by distance, and Weathering With You: separated by fate (since Hina was destined to be a sacrifice as a weather girl).

This was more entertaining of a reaction than I anticipated tbh. GoW is still visually the sexiest movie I've ever seen. I loved how realistic these situations were, and I loved that the ending was more grounded in reality. And now for more useless facts... Yukino also made an appearance in Your Name

WOW fr? That's wild lol. Same author so I guess he likes to put those little easter eggs in his movies. And agreed, definitely the most beautifully animated film I've seen. Everything is so realistic and vivid.
