Aw man I can't wait to see your reaction to this. The fate series can be a bit confusing at times but the movies , aw man top quality. Unlimited budget as most people can the heaven's feel movies.

I haven’t finished the reaction yet, but I should have recommended UBW for Taylor and Terrance first. I forgot this movie skips the early scenes because they’re in UBW. There’s a lot of misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Oh well. The reaction is still fire!

I feel bad for Taylor, I can only imagine how fucking confused I'd be watching HF with no background knowledge. You'll go down a rabbit hole and your head will start hurting if you start asking too many questions instead of just letting Fate take you where it wants to go. Someone needs to do up at least 6 whiteboards for him. When I saw the first movie I thought it was a bit slow as well - Heaven's Feel is a slow burner in general. They actually cut out a lot of the slower content too for the movie series. HF2 picks up the pace a lot (and probably has the best fight scenes I've seen in anime) though I wouldn't call it "fast paced", and the third one will even moreso (just if it so happens you keep watching the series, which I suspect people will ask for).

Saber basically self-destructed to prevent herself from being controlled and turning on the MC. She had no choice because iirc servants cannot resist the miasma once they get touched.

Sherm, I don't know Taylor's discord tag so can you tell Taylor that the chronological order + spin-off order of the Fate series is: 1. (Prequel to the entire series; starting point of the series) "Fate/Zero", 2. (1st Route that aired in 2007 from studio Deen) Fate/Stay Night. Not many people, including me, liked this one. I would pass it. This is the one Terrance watched I believe. Not sure if he's seen UBW. 3. (2nd Route after FZ) F/SN Unlimited Blade Works Season 1 and Season 2. Watching this after Fate/Zero will make everything that happened in the movie make sense. I highly recommend UBW. 4. (3rd Route after FZ, and bits from the beginning of UBW) F/SN Heaven's Feel Movies 1-3. Basically, Fate/Zero is the canon starting point for all three routes. Then routes 1-3 are the different what-if stories that happen after Fate/Zero. Then you have completely different spin-offs: Fate/Apocrypha and Fate Grand Order/Babylonia. FGO is based off of the mobile game. Wish I could directly talk to Taylor about this, but this will have to do. Would appreciate if I could get Taylor and Terrance's discord names. Ofc, I know sherm's, and I already found Von's the other day.

I think just having them watch Fate Zero then UBW is probably the best starting point because I know your suppose to watch all the fate stay night routes in order but the deen adaptation is just terrible and I doubt they have time to read the VN. I think having them watched fate zero because it’s probably the easiest way for them not to get confused and then UBW then the movies.

Literally all of us have seen some variation of fate aside from Taylor. Myself and Javon have seen zero and fate stay night & unlimited blade works Terence has seen fate stay night unlimited blade works

As Sherm just stated, 3/4 of the group have seen UBW. So, recommending Heaven's Feel was a viable option. After watching the reaction, I do think we should have let Taylor watch FZ and UBW first, and have Terrance watch FZ. We may have jumped the gun over the hype of the announcement of the weekly movie nights. In a perfect world for the viewers, it would be amazing to get a reaction to FZ and/or UBW for our boy Taylor. But, that would mean Sherm and Von would have to rewatch it, taking up time for other shows. All good though. I just hope Taylor finishes the prequels prior to us voting for Heaven's Feel movie #2 😜

Haven’t seen the series but thought i could still at least give it a try and nahhhhhh i was completely lost and stopped 30 mins in lol, sucks but i guess i’ll come back some day and try watching it again after i watch the series

Listen to what I'm going to say Taylor; The Fate universe can be very intimidating, so I'm going to present to you the solution to your Fate problem. A lot of things in HF part 1 referenced Fate/Zero and even some bits of UBW. For instance during the "opening" was essentially showing was happend at the school to Emiya, how he met Saber, and how Rin was tied up with them. My suggestion is to just watch Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works. Once you've done this you should have a solid grasp of the situation.

it wasnt terrible it was 2006 btw, the anime back in 2006 for it was VERY GOOD , now obviously not but cant do that by saying WELL UBW is better because animation is better when second season of it came out like 9 years later or 4 years later during first season
