It's spooky season! One of my favorite things when worldbuilding for Valoris is to try and figure out how humanoid D&D monsters would look in a setting with no humanoids. My players recently encountered a pack of banshees and it got me thinking about how to make kinda cutesy animal people look scary and ghostified.
