LET THE GAME BEGIN is the first of a few Halloween productions.

DESCRIPTION:

This one’s pretty close to being Saw Fanfic. It isn’t gory, though! I promise! It’s evil and dark psychologically but there’s no gore.

It’s much more BDSM-themed than hypnotic. There’s gaslighting and mindbreak, but the track doesn’t make any particular gestures toward hypnotizing the listener.

It also employed a “sound template” – I premixed all the background, and then the vocals are either performed over the backdrop or mixed in. There are two different performances of the script. Bliss did a live reading. Kees was mixed in as record vocals. I’d love to know how people felt this worked out. It enables much faster mixing of pieces where a few people might want to try out acting.

Obviously, given the mixing style, it’s not hyperscrubbed crystal vocals, but I think that’s very consistent with the aesthetic.

The main actor is female. There are some parts filled in by a male voice – me.  It’s heavily modulated to resemble the movie voice.  It's really not too recognizable other than that.
