Their letter was basically, "he may be a rapist, but we knew him as our friend. And not to diminish what the accusers said, but he was a good guy" lol. And then Ashton stepped down from the sex trafficking program he was a part of, which made it look like he valued his apparent friendship with Masterson over sex trafficking. Imagine if Chris Hansen wrote a letter to a judge defending a pedo and just quit his show.
