I recently watched a video about roundabouts and how they're actually much safer. Not to be confused with a 4-way stop, a roundabout forces drivers to stop and yield. I think they said people in the U.S aren't used to it and it can confuse them. That being said, I almost got lost using a roundabout one time. It's a interesting video. They talk a little bit more about why roundabouts are hated in the U.S but why they're also safer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqcyRxZJCXc&t=0s

Sherry isn't allergic to pineapple... pineapple has an enzyme that breaks down proteins that causes a burning sensation on your tongue and the roof of your mouth. It happens to everyone.

Anonymous

Bro just keep right lol hows that hard

Don't you guys have standardized driving rules trough America? And stopping mid intersection is illegal in my country. If the lights turn red when you're mid intersection, you simply just drive.

Anonymous

In Australia some times we have 2 roundabouts in 1

The traffic circle in Long Beach is insane 😂

Let me inform you about Kentucky. It’s more of a rural state similar to Tennessee, which is where I’m located. Where most of its economy is base on agricultural means. Majority of the towns are not up to date with modern infrastructure. This is probably those people first time seeing that kind of traffic lol

Anonymous

we do but every state has slightly different rules, and keep in mind Kentucky is a rural area where you just need to know the "basics" of driving like in this small town, its possible those people never seen a roundabout because they don't need one in a small town where as here in California we have a few I have quite a bit in my area

Roundabouts as a concept are great, but when nobody knows how to use them it quickly falls apart. I live in a city in Southern Ontario, Canada that's famous for having a street with a stretch of 7 2-lane roundabouts in a row which was to help alleviate traffic caused by traffic lights. However even after 10 years since the street first implemented roundabouts people still don't know how to use them. The most common things I see still are people not yielding to traffic thats already in the roundabouts and cutting people off, and then people not using their signals when exiting makes judging gaps to enter the roundabout difficult. When it comes to signalling the easiest way to think about it is to approach it just like a 4-way stop sign. If you're taking the third exit you signal left on your entry. If you're taking the first exit you signal right on your entry. If you're going straight you don't need to signal on entry. BUT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS SIGNAL YOUR EXIT so people waiting to enter the roundabout know when they can safely enter the roundabout without having to judge if someone is going to stay in the roundabouts or exit it.
