Its more to do with the fact that black voices are more prevalent in media, there is little Asian representation in the media therefore there is no one to speak on Asian issues.

dont fan the flames... im sure there is a racial element but im not sure its systematic... its an easy opportunity... my guess is that there is something deeper... however if you let the asian community take preventative measures... i believe these type of attacks will stop... but it will involve us using profiling techniques that are controversial... or we can get to a root cause which i suspect will also be controversial to many... theres a balance there

No there isn't, you're just hesitant bc its a black suspect...that shit needs to called out regardless. Joe was actually showing some restraint in this video, but since it was an Asian victim he couldn't hide it that well.

I really do hate it when they always play the mental health card. It's infuriating that lawyers play this card to save their client. But like they all said, the lawyer is doing their job. Even so... the mental health issue is always used whenever an attack is happening towards another ethnicity. And in some cases, where this particular card is used and they win... it's a slap on the wrist when it comes to sentencing. We see it all the time. The kid is stupid for doing what he did. That kid was revved the fuck up and ran straight into the old man. Attacking someone who's older and weaker than you is the epitome of cowardice.

From what Nikki said about the way American society treats old people is true ... As a black person i am very upset of the video. But I was raise from a immigrant house hold. And I was raise to respect my elders... and I will say that kid fucked and he deserves all the charge and he should go to prison... it may not have the intent to kill but that was his effect of if action and now he has to be responsible for those actions.... and yes I blamed the stupid 45th for calling it the “China virus” knowing how racist the country is was irresponsible.. cuz now it only give power to people to abused others.

As a black (and half Asian) person, I never understood how minorities don't see the irony of attacking other minorities (especially if it's racially motivated). I'm not sure if this was racially motivated or if the lawyer was right about his mental state (although Idk if I completely buy that) but either way you look like a bully. Even if he didn't have the intent to kill, he still attacked him. So what was he expecting, for him to be fine?
