We got a lot of hate for this video, so we just moved it to Patreon. Some people said we shouldn't have shown the sketch, some said Bart & Joe's opinions were disgusting, etc. The public doesn't like it but we left it here for you guys. - Jess

Thanks Jess, had a feeling this would happen😂

Damn people are snowflakes 🤣

Anonymous

Yeah I was surprised it was on the YouTube channel and not on Patreon. This video is CRAZY!

Anonymous

Damn y’all had to take it off smh fuck YouTube ‼️

Anonymous

I'm surprised and not surprised this happened... Thanks for keeping it on here Jess!

Oscar M

They took it off youtube ?? Wow 😂

Anonymous

Thanks jess ❤❤

Anonymous

Saw the notification and was confused 🤣 bunch of snowflakes 🤣

Anonymous

Why did they get hate forth this video?

Anonymous

ehhhhh, Didnt seem like the comments were that bad. Of course there is gonna be a couple sensitive people but i dont think that warrants it being taken down. Im glad y'all kept it on patreon tho. Also shout out to Jess for explain the situation.

justkiddingnews

a lot of the hate was actually coming to the casts' personal stuff. like people DMing tiff, etc. to calm it down we just pulled it.

Anonymous

Honestly idk how people got mad at it. Bart and Joe's insight was great, they weren't trying to side with him but trying to explain the world of comedy how the video could be interpreted as a "rough draft". They weren't trying to support pedophilia or anything like that. I think the world has reached to a point where people can't have mature conversations about dark topics without someone getting "triggered".

Anonymous

Ppl need to open their ears and shut their mouthes

Anonymous

Thanks for moving it here, can you maybe do the same (IE re-upload on patreon) for past videos you've taken down/privated for similar reasons?

Anonymous

It sucks that people couldn't differentiate that they hated the skit, but could understand where the money to make it came from.

Anonymous

Sensitive is what people are

Anonymous

bruhhh....come on people in 2020 are whack as fuc

Anonymous

I understand why people were mad watching the sketch, that was messed up. But I'm a bit confused why they're mad about Bart's & Joe's viewpoint. I don't agree with them, but shi... I'm not up in arms

Amaurys Thatguy

It is sad that the crew was forced to do that. In life, there is great shit out there and there are plenty shitty things too. Doesn't mean there isn't a point to try and understand them. I feel that video was a very good discussion. I'm glad you brought it over her Jess. Thank you.

Anonymous

Since it's Patreon, would you guys re release other "controversial" videos you've previously taken off YouTube?

Anonymous

Ya man, idk, nothing they said was offensive at all. They obviously have a certain mindset and perspective towards decisions like these because they are in the world of comedy. Not all of us are comedians but we understand that if something sounds different or you never thought of seeing it from a view point like that, most of us would do our own research, take the Situation for what it is, and get where they are coming from. Nothing they said should’ve warranted any hate towards them in particular or create this image that they somehow support what he was doing. I guess this is the world we live in now.

Anonymous

thanks for taking it down for the people that got offended it does suck that people got upset, whether people agree or not it just feels like everybody is on different levels of tollerance but at the same time everyone is forced to agree or ur the bad guy...just doesnt feel right i mean most people can tell the difference of intent and its just a crazy time we r in and just everything jeez haha

Anonymous

Not gonna lie, the sketch was pretty uncomfortable to see. That being said, I'm glad you guys didn't completely take it down. The crew had a lot good points that were made. None of which I could ever see as disgusting.

Anonymous

Feel like everyone else on here and agree that it sucks they had to take it down because people were attacking the cast. It sucks that people can’t just sit and listen to what Bart & Joe are saying before reacting. Like I didn’t agree with them, but I could understand they were trying to explain a different POV and how comedians work. We all knew they thought it was disgusting. It sucks that you can’t even discuss what’s happening anymore without getting hate that it’s not the “right” way to talk about it.

Anonymous

But the like to dislike ratio on the public video was really positive.

Whitney Williams

I'm guessing this video got backlash on YouTube. People don't know how to have a proper discussion with hard topics. It's either you're with popular or you're not. And if you're not, then they immediately label you as the bad guy. It's a shame. You all pointed out how disgusting that video was. But I guess defending comedy was too much for people.

Anonymous

Honestly, I think quite a bit of people who are complaining about things from the past or stirring up things online are actually trolls...and everyone ends up reacting to it (not responding--reacting)--thinking that people are over-sensitive. However, I agree with Anthony Lee, I don't understand how the sketch was funny, and I appreciate the discussion in this video. That's too bad it was not able to be left up on the main channel. I think this presented some good points and important things to reflect on. I think instead, you all should re-post the video with maybe a censor over the sketch (if that's the problem). It's really important to have discussions and be able to model discussions these days.

Anonymous

If you see a lot of their pages, like on twitter, it’s just a bunch of burner accounts and it’s annoying to see people not see that they’re trying to see his point but they aren’t agreeing with him, ridiculous. The video is understandable though.

Anonymous

I find the skit uncomfortable but the video and conversation about it was 💯 fine with me. Fucking sensitive ass ppl need to simmer down. What the Karen equivalent of snowflakes? Lol

Anonymous

Can y’all release the Pauly Shore videos too then 👀

Anonymous

Snowflakes are ruining the world. I didn't like the skit, and didn't find it funny. Doesn't mean that the man should be shunned for all eternity and starve to death for lack of employment opportunities.

Anonymous

I thought Bart and Joe explained their points perfectly fine, I understood it, like wtf is wrong with cancel culture people

Anonymous

Bart and Joe both said that they were against the skit as well? They both said it was wrong and distasteful? I dont get the hate? Its like people just hold onto 1 word and cant see anything past their own assumptions 🙄

Anonymous

How dumb do you have to be to not understand Bart and Joe's statements

Anonymous

Tiffs outfit is really cute!! It suits her :)

Anonymous

Why are people so damn sensitive lately. It's pathetic.

Anonymous

So watched the video and it was really disturbing but when Joe and Bart were talking about the process and mechanism of comedy did make sense. They weren't supporting the guy just trying to tell us what could have been going through that person's mind at the time when creating this "Skit". But yh that guy clearly fucked up big time.

Anonymous

Damn what a tough discussion, but that guy for sure fucked up big time. That was a disgusting video he made but I still going to watch rick and morty

Anonymous

Some people are just sensitive cooter lips

Anonymous

I get the mechanism of comedy thing, but there is an ethical line even with comedy. Did he really need someone to tell him this is fucked up? Did he really have to show himself with the baby? That just took it way too far, how was he even okay with acting this out? Some things don't even deserve an explanation or trying to understand his thought process.

Anonymous

How many times do people want them to say they think this is fucked up? Go attack the person that made the original video

Anonymous

I'm not a softy or someone who supports censorship. I don't think the video should have been taken down. If you are comfortable with these viewpoints...then you should stand by them IMO...and let people see it and come to their own conclusions. That being said, the segment was horrible. Every once in a while JKN just gets it wrong. Sometimes I think you guys are tone deaf. A lot of Youtubers are this way unfortunately. It's usually a result of limited life experiences or being in a bubble. You would think that after the military rape joke, the native American/indigenous comments, and the Shane Dawson nonsense involving another channel but impacting this one, that you guys would put more thought into the stories. You could have simply did this segment without showing the video clip. That's half the problem. There are viewers who are survivors of childhood rape & molestation, or are the relatives of children who this happened to. There was no sufficient warning for those people at all regarding what they were about to see. You seem clueless about this. If that wasn't bad enough, you then tried to spin it. It should have been universally panned & trashed by everyone on the panel, mercilessly, with no "buts" or silly rationalizations. I can see why people would get offended. It isn't about being a comedian, it's about a guy being a pedo...and you are giving him extra attention. And some of you tried to rationalize & minimize this bullshit. There is no rationalization for it. It's not just creativity or "pushing boundaries" a little. Trying to sound intellectual with the rationalizations just made it worse. But that's just my 1 cent opinion. Judging from the comments here, i'm in the minority. Most viewers were fine with the skit and with the JKN rationalizations & minimizing. Not surprising that the viewers would support their people. This is a generation that has terabytes of porn at their fingertips, can view violent videos on their phones of people getting their heads sawed off, and have GTA & Call of Duty as standard entertainment. Rape & molestation are just part of the culture...not that big of a deal to a lot of people. A lot of this stuff has been normalized. Some from this crowd may have even liked the skit...in fact, i'm certain that quite a few enjoyed it & chuckled. To be evil & sadistic is normal. There is nothing too disgusting or repulsive to most people 35 & under today, especially those who follow this channel. There are almost no lines that shouldn't be crossed. Today, the mindset of people is more along the lines of "as long as it isn't happening to me or my family, then it's cool". So there is a generational component to this as well. Like I stated...they should have left the video up on the main channel. They should be able to stand by their comments. If it's ok...then post it. But my suggestion is...find better stories & articles. There are plenty of other topics to cover.

Fuck You! This is Funny for me! Joking and laughing about terrible sad tragedies that occured in the past is how you should cope because otherwise, be so sad and consumed by sadness, you'll just end up committing suicide. Choose your Options. Free Speech & Freedom in Comedy! Intentions Matter Too. It's about understanding & being compassionate toward the other person. There's always a reason why people do the things they do. Past traumas, disorder, illness, and upbringings. It could be wrong, but you must try and understand and be compassionate because if so, everything makes sense. Find Root Causes and help fix, not just yell at symptoms and after effects. Also, who the Fuck cares if someone is offensive unless it actually directly affects you negatively? Get a fucking life! Just focus on Yourself not being a Loser in Life. You're probably not successful now just worrying about dumb shit. Also, stupid people are going to be acting stupid, makes 100% logical sense. Why don't you actually be offended by the fact that you're a "Loser" in Real Life. Work on that & Stop Trippin, You Fags! TeeHee, All Love!

Anonymous

"Most viewers were fine with the skit". WTF are you talking about? Absolutely no one in the comments was "fine with the skit".

Anonymous

I knew this was gna happen I was surprised it was out public first, love y’all

Anonymous

everyone here saying that it was fine, of course we think so because we actually pay to watch which just goes to show how hard we fw them

Anonymous

Maybe showing the skit was a bad idea. But the crew's take on it was excellent. They got the immediate and obvious take of "this is disgusting and made in poor taste" out of the way, and then explored why someone would be motivated to make something like this, and how in that mechanism of developing a comedic skit, it went horribly wrong. I find it upsetting that viewers chose to put on their blinders and a)see what Bart and Joe were doing as "siding" with the this skit and b)go on to harass cast members, Cancel culture is basically the Mob Mentality 2.0, I can't wait for this shit to disappear.

2oV

I get the skit part, but of course those idiots would get mad at Joe and Bart... Bart: It's not funny and it's gross, but I get he was trying to go for comedy. Personally I find it distasteful. Clowns probably: I can't believe Bart defended pedophilia/pedo jokes. I mean that's what I'm assuming cancel culture was trying to get him on.

Thatonegaykid

Bart was pretty eloquent when he said it’s disgusting but that sometimes comedy is bad and wrong and it’s best forgotten so it can’t hurt anyone else but people love to dig for stuff

Anonymous

I'm sad this didn't get good feedback, this was the best video you guys have ever done. It's explained the mechanisms of comedy and why this skit was obviously disgusting and inappropriate. To me it just shows that Dan doesn't have a good understanding of the morals in today's society. If he did, he wouldn't have even thought this was an appropriate video idea. Anthony's comments at the end also opened up the discussions of- How long you should be shunned, essentially for a career flop (in terms of the mechanisms of comedy)? The length of time a comic’s career flop hold the weight of being shunned, should be- until societal norms shift- as long as that may be. It circles back to understanding what is and isn't acceptable in today's society. Normal people understand that doing something that isn't socially acceptable in the workplace, would consequently lead you to receive career and social retributions. All in all the answer is, only time will tell. People like Dan are sick and out of touch with reality, even if they are brilliant artists.

Anonymous

I really hate where our society's view is going. People input their negative thoughts in others' words and demands to change to their point of view. Of course they're minority but what worse is everyone else submit to their demands. With this pandemic, I can't even predict what will happen next month. As where we are right now, it will not be an okay future I'm afraid.

Anonymous

Damn this world really is too sensitive for Jknews now. Thank God for Patreon...

Anonymous

20 seconds into the Harmon video and I’m now deaf

Anonymous

hehe, executives are looking for a reason to cancel you now... the economy is fucked... audiences are highly polarized bc of it...
