I'm from Asia and in my 30s and still cuddle everybody lol I think it might be like Joe said - a thing of cultural perception - but I don't know the story here. On the other hand I never cuddled with my grandfather who loved me dearly (I even think he loved me more than his own children) because he belonged to that generation of Asian men who don't show any emotions, kinda sad, I would have liked to hold him at least once

I don’t think it’s weird because if you need any object between your crotch and your daughter your afraid to get turn on sooooo that’s when it’s weird because you shouldn’t be afraid of getting turned on at anytime when having ANY kind of affection with your daughter. She just likes to be cuddled by her father that’s not weird she’s just comfortable around him and that’s a good thing

Now that I think about it, I do think it might be an American thing? I am Filipino and my family is very affectionate LOL I’m 21 and I STILL cuddle with all of my family - mom, dad, brother.

I'm 26 and I sometimes still cuddle my dad so I don't think it weird but maybe this is because my parent are not from the US.

I think it would only be weird if the daughter had expressed that she didn't want to cuddle her dad, and then if the dad kept on pulling her in to cuddle then I'd think its weird and that guy is a pedo~! but if the daughter is initiating then i think its still okay. I think kids are very perceptive and if it was weird or inappropriate then I think the daughter would pull away.

Nah. I'm 27 and still cuddle my 67 y/o dad, and I forever will as long as he is here with us. It's normal for us. I get it's not everyone's way of bonding and that's fine.

I don’t know how I feel about this one. I think if I had a better relationship with my dad now I’d probably still cuddle with him. I think I may have cuddled him when I was 14 or 13 but not long into high school our relationship fell apart so I could understand still cuddling at 15. I’m 19 and still cuddle with my mom, brother, grandma, aunts, uncles, boyfriends mom, boyfriends aunts. I think if they are both cuddlers it makes complete sense especially if they have cuddled all their life. I don’t think it’s that weird. It depends on the type of cuddling and when they started cuddling. If this didn’t start until after she went through puberty that would be weird. But if the other two kids don’t like to cuddle and at the age where they voice they don’t like to be cuddled then it would be weird for him to cuddle that kid.

I'm 27 and still cuddle my dad and mom when i visit. My 22yr old brother still cuddles my parents too. My two older ones probably don't because my parents didn't learn how to be affectionate until they had my little brother. I was still a kid so i also got some of that affection growing up. But i guess it does also depend on what "type" of cuddling. Because we squish cuddle our mom because she's tiny (4'9) and we lean cuddle (slouch) on our dad when watching TV.

But according to the article how it was stated was she came to snuggle with her dad, so maybe she feels more protected and loved because it seems as though her mother is not the most affectionate. And it might be a generational thing because her parents also agree so maybe the wife's father didn't show her snuggles So she finds it odd that her husband is snuggling with his child And wouldn't it be up to the child to say when she feels uncomfortable, most teenage girls go through that phase where they're like eeww dad don't talk to me
