Today, I wanted to draw something relating to my Sketchventures series (check out my DeviantART gallery for that. ;) ).
This formicin girl isn't stuffing herself just for her own enjoyment. She serves as a honeypot, meaning she gets to eat all she wants whenever she wants to stretch that belly of hers bigger and fuller. Instead of being digested, the food turns into nutritious nectar she stores in her belly for when harder times befall her community. It can then be extracted to feed other hive members (in the form of lactation, of course ;D).
