Thank you for taking so much time to research all of this. This whole deep dive was very interesting to me. One thing I was hoping to hear your perspective on was justice sensitivity and what role that plays in the psychological portion. I have seen some research correlating immigration sentiment and white supremacy to certain flavors of justice sensitivity. I’ve also been interested in where these sensitivities originate since I struggle with the “observer” sensitivity in my own life and often feel intensely triggered in situations where it would serve my relationships better to calm down…but I just can’t. I hope this research area is explored more in the future because I’d really love to gain more insight for my own selfish purposes, but also because it seems like it might play a role in our current society, with the “woke” social justice types (maybe correlated with observer sensitivity) activated against groups like white supremacists (maybe correlated with victim sensitivity) who are activated right back. I know my sensitivity feels a LOT like my other trauma triggers in my body, and I wonder if this whole dynamic is just a bunch of different trauma reactions, so we’re all acting from our limbic systems in a maladaptive way, but magnified to this large societal level. But maybe I’m way off base and the way I experience this is very different from others.
