Very interesting and useful. It’s given me some areas to brush up on.

For me, one that comes up is how to have a socially minded practice. The social dimension is increasingly becoming a source of suffering for folks, and if we are to stay relevant we need to respond to this in our practice. This is true of many clients, but especially the increasing numbers of people experiencing chronic trauma in the social domain. As Elton (2023) said “ Trauma, flight and migration have become signatures of our time. Possibly never before in history have these many people been afflicted by persecution, war, and poverty in their native country, and have had to migrate as is the case today.”
