I grew up in Russia and moved to Canada when I was a teenager. In Russia I felt that racism was almost glorified. It would be presented to you that you should "stand behind your country men" and "your people always come first" type of thing. The racism would often be toward people far away and people you didn't really know or see because in Russia I didn't see a lot of immigrants or other cultures. This attitude is not something I really questioned because I never saw up close how hurtful it was to other people until I moved to Canada. I am really glad I was able to get this perspective because it made me realize that a lot of times this is about educating people and they ain't all bad people. They can change just like I did.

Dr. Kirk could you please do a reaction video to the couple adopting an adult pregnant woman from the show Adults Adopting Adults? Very curious to hear your thoughts on their situation. Thank you!

Me too! I am Russian! I am the Central Asian/Turkic kind of Russian though, so there can be quite a bit of racism against Turkic people like me. (I mixed with Chuvash, Kazakh, and Tatar by the way. AND ethnic Russian too.) But I always had weird experiences with Russian men. Did you? For example, I new this Russian guy- a friend's brother- who would always be bothered if Russian women would not date or go for Russian men. I would hear rude comments like, "our women" are too interested in marrying foreigners etc... I mean he was not as racist as some people can be, but he acted really weird towards me a few times because I married a Moroccan guy and then an Italian guy afterwards lol. Technically I am a Asian Russian and he was not- so I especially thought it weird of him to care as much in my case. My mom was saying because some people are Russian nationalists. Some people still have Soviet mentality. Like Russian is Russian. Period. So on top of racism there is still nationalists too. Which sometimes can be just as bad as overt racists.

I would send an email with this suggestion from their website. They tend be more aware of suggestions through email. I think maybe his wife, Stacy, may help track them for him. :-)
