After watching the first episode, I don't understand what the mystery is about. It's a typical serial killer case. The person probably lived near Cathy. Probably male. Probably got a ride to the shopping mall. He sees his victim drive up, decides to kill her, goes into the backseat of her car. He gets his knife out. She returns to her car and gets in the driver's seat. He threatens her, the vehicle is now hijacked, he has her drive back to her apartment so that she'll be seen home. She gets home and waits in her car for someone to see her. Someone sees her. Then she is instructed to drive into the forest where the killer can play out whatever his fantasy is in solitude where no one can hear. Cathy drives the car into the forest at knife point. She sees an opportunity to escape. She jumps out of the car. The killer chases her down with the car through the swampy area. The killer catches her and plays out the fantasy. He kills Cathy. Then, he sets the body. (He will likely return later to the body to place it somewhere else. This is common behavior. These perps feel a sense of power when they return to their crime scenes.) Then, he takes Cathy's car out of the woods because he doesn't want to bring any attention to that area and because he has to get home himself (he probably lives near Cathy). He drives to Cathy's house and parks the car well away from her actual house for fear that someone will see or hear him. He walks home. Later, he returns to the body multiple times placing it in different areas. Profile: moderate criminal sophistication, male in early 20's with social anxiety, immature, little experience with women, knew where Cathy lived, possibly had feelings for her, not sadistic, moderate intelligence, probably presents with ASPD traits, possibly worked with a partner. He parked the car where he did because he probably lived close by and didn't want to be seen. Not sure how they missed that. He probably selected Cathy because he knows her from living near her. Not sure how they missed that.

OK, I've now skipped ahead to "Edgar". So I was off on age, not sure about physical location, I was right about ASPD, not sure about social anxiety or difficulty with women. Another thing I was thinking but didn't mention was that the perp probably came forward as an informant. This appears to have been correct, as Edgar apparently went to the radio station. Also, whoever this Jane Doe character is could possibly be the accomplice I suspected. But I'm definitely not sure of Edgar. I almost want to stand by my age estimate. Targets hot high school teacher, only struck twice, leaves the car right by the home, that just smells immature to me. Seems young.
