The eco-anxiety segment really hit home for me, I evacuated to Seattle from Portland during the fires and am still dealing with health effects from the smoke exposure. I grew up on the gulf coast and have a lot of natural disaster-related trauma that the fires brought back, when I thought I had escaped that living up here. I also have an environmental science degree, for a healthy dose of climate reality that I can never forget. Many people in my field have to seek counseling to cope with the reality we're facing, and it's been really difficult learning that this isn't a safe place, either. Kirk & Berto both articulated a lot of my feelings about it really well, but to be honest, I wish your advice about this made more sense to me.

It's so funny- I always talk about Sabre Tooth Tigers with my clients too when I speak about anxiety or other evolutionary processes! It tickles me every time I hear Dr. H say it too 🤣🤣
