Prepping for an ep on furries. Anyone have any direct experience with the culture?

The Seattle kink community seems like a solid place to start. Maybe reaching out to <a href="https://thefspc.org/?" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://thefspc.org/?</a>

I casually am one! I think the community is really interesting and varied and provides a lot of interesting spaces for people....it's a very old online community - I specifically can only speak for my experiences as a trans and gay person but I know the ability to choose what aspects of self expression you choose to embody for a "furry" persona have helped me a lot with dysphoria and self acceptance which is something I've heard to be similar to a lot of other gay and trans furries....as an artist too I think the fact so much of the community revolves around content creators because it inherently requires someone to translate these characters and ideas visually, so it can lend itself to really creative resonant art! I don't really engage with the sexual side of furry spaces , but I've been witness to it for a while. I have varied opinions on it personally? It really depends on context but I'm sad honestly so much of discussion of it is generalized to be entirely sexual. I also find furries, as a freelance artist specifically, to be some of the best people to have as clients for commission, many tip very well and are extremely excited to work with you and since a lot of the members of the community have established jobs they have more expendable income to pay ethical prices for commissions. I don't want to ramble here but I'm happy to communicate thoughts your way via email if you need them :^)
