I don't know about movies, I guess it is not OK when all black people are being played by white actors, but the examples from the podcast were pretty innocent for me. But carnavals are made to do thinks that are taboo, that was the original idea of carnavals. don't go to church dressed up as christ with a cross on your back. Don't go to feminists party dressed up as a slutty nurse. Don't go to cowboys bar dressed up as a cowboy etc. think it is a bit too much, to compare shooting someone and dressing up for a carnaval. PS: Sorry for my English, I am from Russia

BTW - Recently one Russian streamer was banned on Twitch because of "black face" - she coseplayed a character from a computer game, who is black. Like really??? First of all - we have no history of black slaves and and black face and whatever. I only found out that there is something like that from this podcast. And what's more - how is it not appropriate to coseplay a character from a computer game, regardless of a race? I guess that pc culture is too much.
