I think it is not so much that "powerful people fantasize about being powerless" (ie the "Japanese businessmen" urban legend), but I think responsibility, more than power, lies at the center of it - someone who's had responsibilities piled up upon since they could remember, will really relish a fantasy of being utterly deprived of choice, because to them it is the only way to really relax and let go ("Hey, there's really nothing I can do, so I might as well go sit back and enjoy it for once.") I realize it is only marginally related to the main topic of this podcast, but it's a bit of a personal thing, so pkease bear with me! :p
