As a woman who has been sexually traumatized by men, if I'm in an elevator alone and a single man then gets on, I will exit the elevator and take a different route to remove myself from that situation. I will avoid situations where I am alone with a strange man, I don't care who he is. Men have no idea the fear women live with on a daily basis of being sexually assaulted by a man especially if it has happened to her before. I don't know that there is anything that can remove this fear its just the facts of life.

I really enjoyed this episode and listening to you two try to work out the dark alley situation at the end. If anyone ever yells at me from a distance I think my first question is going to be, "what kind of podcasts do you listen to?" (haha). As a woman, I can't really think of a good way for a stranger to approach me in that scenario without part of me being worried. I can also say that as a woman I tend to avoid dark allies at night anyways. Even busy streets at night can be uncomfortable alone since there are men (and probably some women) that seem to enjoy just grabbing random asses.
