Early Access: Male Body Hair CAS Location (Patreon)

The most recent patch finally added official body hair, and with it, body hair slots in CAS. I'm updating my previously released body hair to use the body hair slots, instead of tattoos, for a better overall user experience.

Along with changing the slots, I also updated my body hair to include the six extra color swatches that Maxis added to the game (neutral black, warm brown, light brown, neutral blond, light blond and white blond).

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) The body hair in the attached file is a standalone version, meaning it does NOT conflict with my previous tattoo version. This also means you will need to manually remove the body hair from existing sims and add this version if you want to make the switch to using the new slots.

I really didn't want to have to do it this way, because I wanted users to be able to just drop in a mod that changed the slot and kept all sims intact. But when I tested doing it this way, the game got confused and thought sims still had body hair tattoos and layered the new body hair over the old, causing a visual duplication of the hair.

(A faster way to remove the old body hair is to delete the tattoo version of the mod, which will remove it from all sims in the game. If you do this be prepared for the "create a sim items are missing" message, which you can ignore).

2) Body hair is enabled for random. This means it will show up on new sims the game generates. I don't know if the game will match up color by default - right now it seems to be defaulting the body hair to auburn, rather than matching to the sim's head hair. It also won't be able to tell if a wavy arm hair belongs with a wavy chest hair or a straight chest hair. You may need to manually change sims who you think look bad or wrong.

3) I haven't included any custom icons for this version, since the game generates automatic thumbnails that show off most of the body hair. I placed the butt hair in the back hair location, but that means the hair isn't visible in the game's auto thumbnails. If you're using a CAS default body part override, though, your sim should be naked while choosing body hair and you can see the butt hair styles by clicking on them.

4) Since there are limited body hair slots, I've merged the armpit hair into the arm hair styles. If there are enough users who want arm hair without armpit hair included, I may offer an alternate version of the arm hair.

5) I haven't tested this with new features like "hair growth" and shaving. I don't know enough about these features yet to know what impact they have, and whether there will be any compatibility issues. I'll try to do some testing and make any updates as necessary.

There are no new body hair designs in this download, only an update for my existing designs. I'll be working on new designs in the future.
