Early Access: SimplePiercings 2.0 (Patreon)

One of the biggest things on my to-do list coming back was to fix the SimplePiercings mod, which was causing errors. Thanks to a huge helping hand from TURBODRIVER, I've been able to get the mod updated!

If you were using the piercing mod already, you're probably aware the previous version of the script broke after a WickedWhims update. I'm not much of a script modder myself, but TURBODRIVER very generously stepped in to create a better script for SimplePiercings. Thanks to this, the updated mod should hopefully be more resilient to WickedWhims updates and less likely to break in future.

Please note: Although TURBODRIVER authored the new script, please come to me first with feedback, discussion of features, and any problems/errors you encounter!

SimplePiercings 2.0 functions the same way in game: purchase a piercing from the Buy catalogue, add it to your sim's inventory, and equip in Live Mode.

Unlike the previous mod, SimplePiercings 2.0 also features real-time updating of your sim's body when you equip/unequip piercings. Now your sim can switch between piercings and their appearance will automatically refresh to reflect your changes!

A MAJOR NOTE:
Because the mod changed internally, currently pierced sims *may* need to have piercings re-applied.

Unfortunately I don't have any saves with pierced sims in them to do extensive testing myself. I believe your sims will still have piercings in their inventory, but you might need to unequip and re-equip those piercings, or purchase new ones.

I know this can be frustrating if you have a lot of sims set up with piercings already, and I apologize for that.

HOW TO INSTALL:
Please delete the previous mod files (a package file and script file).

The new mod includes THREE FILES. INSTALL ALL THREE FILES IN THE SAME LOCATION, AND DO NOT CHANGE FILE NAMES. If you change their names, you may encounter errors.

PLACE THE MODS IN YOUR FOLDER NO DEEPER THAN ONE FOLDER (eg /Mods/SimplePiercings is okay, but /Mods/Simdulgence/SimplePiercings is not).
