SimMotion Update: Stairs (Patreon)

This is an update to SimMotion to add movement when your sims use the stairs.

Motion on the stairs was unexpectedly complicated due to the way the stair animations are split into separate pieces. It took a little more time to make the animations as smooth and realistic as possible.

There are a number of other SimMotion updates that are nearly complete but require an update for SimpleGens before I push those out. Hopefully, I will be able to finish and share them soon!


A general note on SimMotion: I aim for smooth movement across the board. Unfortunately, it seems 100% uninterrupted movement is not possible because of how animations work. Some things your sim does have "transition" animations, which I can edit, and some things seem to have a game-generated transition, which I can't edit.

In these unique transitions, the genitals are ignored and jump to their default position. For example, depending on how your sim approaches the top of the stairs to walk down, there's a quick moment where the penis seems to stop moving.

Sadly, I don't think there's anything I can do to fix this issue. Hopefully it'll only show up in a few places and won't be too distracting overall!
