RealGens 1.0 (Patreon)

REALGENS is a custom penis option for The Sims 4. It focuses on realistic proportions, sizes and shapes in a Maxis Match style.

RealGens is designed for use with WickedWhims and will appear in the Body Selector menu. Simply unzip the files, add to your Mods directory, select the penis you want for your sim in game and away you go!

Note: The zip file contains two versions of RealGens. The version marked CAS makes a Medium soft and Medium hard penis available to select in CAS to make choosing body hair or color overlays easier.

You should only install ONE version of the RealGens file!

Penis Sizes

There are five flaccid penis sizes and four erect penis sizes. Although the difference between some sizes may appear minimal, the aim of RealGens is to provide variety for your sims while maintaining realistic proportions.

Note: No XSmall erect size exists due to the fact it would not work with most existing animations, which were designed using larger penises.

Testicle Styles

There are three testicle styles - A, B and C. A and B are a higher set of testicles; they are the same shape but have different textures (A is smooth, B is wrinkled). C is a lower-hanging set of testicles with their own unique texture.

Note: The XSmall penis is only available with high (A/B) testicles for aesthetic reasons.

Foreskin Styles

There are three foreskin styles - Uncut, Retracted and Cut. Uncut has a full foreskin, Cut has no foreskin, and Retracted has a foreskin pulled halfway back along the glans.

Color Overlays

The RealGens Color overlays let you add even more variety to your sims' penises! Each overlay is available in eight swatches to suit a variety of skintones. Some of the overlays allow you to choose your favorite overlay style with a specific purple glans or red glans.

Note: Because there are limited detail slots on sims, RealGens Colors are set as an eyebrow scar. This should allow your sims to keep existing skin detail with minimal disruption.

Skintone Fixes

Several of the game's skintones make the penis a slightly different color to the body. This can cause a line on the penis where the colors change.

The skintone fix edits these skintones to bring the penis color in line with the body color and provide a seamless look. The fixes are overlays, which do not alter the appearance of the skintones and are only visible on male sims who are eligible to have a penis.

All skintone fixes are entirely optional. I recommend using the EP01 fixes if you have Get to Work, because the issue is more noticeable on alien skintones than base game human skintones. I strongly recommend using the EP07 fixes if you have Island Living, because without them any sim with a mermaid skintone will have a black, textureless penis.

Note: There are five skintone fix files. One file contains all of the fixes and is ideal if you own the base game and both expansion packs. The other four files are individual fixes so you can choose which you want/need to install.

Known Issues

Weight Issue: RealGens are weighted and have a fully functional UV1 map (which controls body morphs). This means the penis moves to match the body when a sim gains weight/muscle, rather than leaving a large ugly gap above the penis.

However, this also means that when you take the sliders to their very extreme RealGens may appear distorted. This is minimal on weight/muscle sliders, but very noticeable when the thigh sliders are pushed to the max limit.

I hope to fix this issue, but the UV1 map and how it functions is still a bit of a mystery. I may be able to correct this in future.

Suntan Issue: The suntan/burn system tans/burns any skin not directly covered by clothing. Because RealGens is a clothing bottom, the game views the RealGens texture as a clothing texture. The result? When you tan, your sim gets a large circle of skin around the penis and butt which do not appear tanned.

I have done a fair amount of investigation into this, but I don't think a good fix exists. This appears to be happening with other creators' penises as well, and will probably continue to do so as long as the game sees the penis bottom as clothing with a texture.

If I can fix this somehow, I definitely will!
