Lore: These orbs (I should give it a name) were used to let Kimiko's race shrink down so they could enter the Forest Elves houses.
They were also used to help with ambushes. Shrink down the giant battle tank and disguise it, until close enough and resize them for the attack.
The orb will glow when it stores mass. The brighter, the more mass.
