Shale Hill Secrets Alpha 1 for Android + Wallpapers (Patreon)

Hello all! 

Really sorry for the delay on the release of the Android version of Shale Hill Secrets. Adapting the game’s GUI for smartphones ended up being a little bit more challenging than I was originally expecting. A lot of time was also spent on extra optimization measures since the original build was kind of too heavy.

The good thing is that the most important changes are already done, so the next release of Shale Hill Secrets should bring in builds for Windows, Mac and Android simultaneously (or with a few days delay between them at max).

Requirements

- Mid to high range smartphone/tablet running Android 4.1 or newer. The oldest phone we have at hand to test on has Android 9 and, given the very fragmented nature of the Android ecosystem, it’s hard to guarantee the game will run on any device. Old or entry level gadgets may not be enough to achieve good performance.

- You need to know how to change the device settings so it accepts installing apps outside of the Google Play store. It's difficult to give proper advice on how to do it since the option can have different names depending on the device language, branding, ROM and version. Here’s a guide that can help.

If the framerate isn’t consistent on your device, go to 'Game Settings', ‘Gameplay Options' and then tweak 'Text Speed' and 'Transitions' options to improve the performance (the quicker the animations, the less the game has to compute since it has a cache system in place).
