Updates for 2024 (Plus commission 4 Galaxy) (Patreon)

WELL. The new year is upon us, and I royally shat the bed on commissions after my comic work took off this year. I AM still catching up rewards/comms (and happily refunding many as they’re completed when appropriate because what the fuck, Caez lmao) BUT.

Patreon is overdue for a complete overhaul. Honestly I stopped making adopts (thanks AI art!) and I’m realistically only able to commit to completing 2-3 commissions per week, depending on complexity (and depending on how long I have to spend on my usual four pages a week) I’m thinking of doing something else with certain neglected tiers (I’m so sorry my beloved $10 tier) and offering different tier specific bonuses for the $50 tier to lessen the load of taking new rewards on ever 1-2 months. Most namely, polls for prints, a monthly request week, tier/holiday specific adopts, and yes, still the opportunity to get custom art of your characters, I Just need to iron it out and get a smoother commission production routine set back in place like we did with the comics. I even asked Curtis if they’d be cool with helping me do flats and details on comms here and there, so that’ll help us get the ball rolling again. 

It’s been so amazing to be able to fully commit to comics this year, you guys have changed my life. My family‘s life. I can’t thank y’all enough and I hope I can pay y’all back as best as I’m able.

Also, let’s talk about the invisible elephant in the room (invisible because only like. 30 of you know what I’m talking about): LUCKY! I have two goals this year: 1. Smooth out my comm/rewards turnaround time so I can have more time for guilt free personal art. 2. Bring Lucky! back. I joke with my stream and say I’ll bring it back at 20k, because that’d be an extra weekly comic page SO we’ll see if it’s in the stars this time around. Haunting Dagger will still update 2 pages a week, and the other 2 pages will always be a bonus nsfw comic, sometimes Dagkota, sometimes another ship depending on what we plan and what y’all vote for. Lucky! would just be a bonus update added onto that if I hit some higher goals this year. I miss the aliens! (I miss SLEEK! Sly, sit down-)

All of that said: thank you guys. I work hard (with the help of Mags and Curtis!) and I know I come in, drop off art, and leave again without saying much, every day feels like a blur these days but I am so so so grateful for the opportunity to work hard doing something I love everyday. Dogger is cradling you all in his arms like a thousand tiny chicken eggs.
