As you might expect, this one took a lot longer than they usually do, and I'm not totally satisfied with it, but "the perfect is the enemy of the good," and all that.

In wrist news, recovery continues. I'm looking into ordering a new, more ergonomic desk (preferably the cheapest one I can find) and flinching as I wait for medical bills to hit me. Hopefully those won't be too incapacitating.

Okay my last comment was short, but honestly, looking at this pic in a bit more detail, I realize that it's got a really specific energy to it. I don’t know how much in all you’ve developed Lyle and Vincent as characters, so my sincere apologies if I’m stepping on your toes, but something about this picture makes them both look a bit older. Maybe it’s the circles under Lyle’s eyes, maybe it’s the white hair, I’m not quite sure, but they have that feel to them. But putting them in that context, if it’s even remotely accurate, gives this scene a new layer of significance, thinking of all they’ve gotten through. Two adult queer men—maybe a couple, maybe not—who have been through shit, maybe who have lived through the 80s or even Stonewall, and are still living and loving and thriving despite it all…something about that is powerful.
