Ramsey & Oliver (Patreon)

These two brothers are old, old designs from about 2011ish. You can see that there are a lot of similarities with Patch (catlike, yellow, stubby teeth), though they're not really intentional so much as a habit of my art style. Ramsey is the little brother, Oliver is the big one.  

They were designed as part of a (very loose) comic idea I had between high school and college, called Mother Ocean, which I ended up pushing to the back-back-back of the projects pile. At the time I was really getting into One Piece, a series that I still really love, but the comic I was designing was too similar to it. I didn't have any core ideas that set my work apart from its main influence, so I couldn't put very much together. A lack of confidence in the project, and so much other work to be done throughout college and beyond, put MO in the freezer for about 5 years. Until this, I guess. Haven't touched that file since this last week - almost forgot about it until I browsed my old laptop. After Ask The Werewolves gets its issue comics finished, and if I ever finish El Indon, Mother Ocean is the Next Big Project, way-way-off-in-the-distance. 

Ramsey & Oliver are not the main characters of MO, though I do love their designs, and want to do something with MO again in the future. I made a 24-hour comic for it in 2011, so what I might do is dig that up and remaster it. That sounds quite nice.
