In the tundra many dangers await travelers and one of the deadlier are Crevasses. Often covered by fresh snow they are invisible to the untrained eyes.
A party member may fall into it or you could find a fellow adventurer trapped in its icy jaws. It may as well be the entrance of a Frost Cavern.
